How to formulate language training goals and procedures for children with language development delays?

Based on the assessment results of children’s language development delay, language training goals and procedures are formulated in a targeted manner.

(1) Group A (verbal symbols have not yet been mastered): The goal is to obtain verbal symbols (understanding) and establish a preliminary communication relationship. (2) Group B (difficulty in speech expression): The training goal is to master the speech expression ability consistent with the understanding level. It is also necessary to introduce level-appropriate training in character learning, quantifier learning, questioning and answering.

(4) Transition group (understanding verbal symbols but unable to speak): The training goal is to obtain understanding at the word and sentence level and comprehensively expand the range of expression. While improving the level of understanding, it is also necessary to improve the ability of expression. Like group C, expression training cannot always be performed. First, training in expressing with gesture symbols can be introduced.
