Students’ experience in saving food

Saving food is also a virtue, especially what our students need to cultivate most. This time I would like to talk about my experience regarding my school’s requirement for students to save food.

Before the school asked us to save food this time, what I saw was wasteful behavior everywhere, especially the most wasted food in the cafeteria. It is said that food is hard to come by. It takes a long time from seed to germination to growth and maturity. Although everyone knows this, few people actually cherish it in life. If it weren't for the school's request for me to save food this time, I would probably continue to waste a lot of food. In the past, students who ate in the cafeteria were much older and ate less. They usually threw it away. Very few people actually made it. Even I was like this. So it’s easy to say but easy to do. Much harder.

This time the school posted a lot of slogans about saving food in the canteen, and the aunt in the canteen was also warned. After informing us that we need to save money, when we get meals in the cafeteria, our aunt will tell us to get as much food as we need to eat. If it is not enough, we will have to ask her for more. In fact, this measure is difficult to implement. Students will feel that their rights and interests have been violated, and they will feel that the school is deliberately denying them meals. Therefore, after observing for a period of time, including when I followed the school's requirements, I felt a little uncomfortable. But for me, it's actually pretty good. After all, I don't eat much myself, so giving me a little bit more is just right, but I'm just not used to it.

After taking such measures for a period of time, I found that in addition to the difficulty in the early stage, the students also worked hard to adapt. They began to know how to save food and understand the benefits of saving. . After all, when they are not full, the aunt will give them more food, which will not affect their food and clothing at all. It's just that everyone is used to waste and has not yet established a sense of conservation, so there is no way to adapt in the short term. But seeing more and more people trying to comply with the school's request, the waste phenomenon has been alleviated and is not as serious as before. Although it will still happen, it is inevitable. After all, it has not been implemented for a long time. Those slogans to warn everyone not to waste food have not been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Naturally, this awareness is not strong and needs to be improved. However, I believe that as time goes by, everyone will definitely develop this habit and awareness, will definitely cooperate with the school in saving food, and will definitely be able to truly save food. Through such a big measure, I also understand that saving food is something we all must do, because in this way, our lives will get better and better.
