With the approval of the State Council, the third week of September every year is the National Putonghua Promotion Week. This year’s 23rd National Promotion Week is scheduled to be held from September 14 to 20, 2020, with the theme of “Speak Mandarin Together, Work Together to Build a Well-off Society”.

With the approval of the State Council, since 1998, the third week of September every year has been the National Promotion Week of Mandarin (hereinafter referred to as Promotion Week). The third week of September this year (2013) is the 16th Promotion Week. Taking into account factors such as holiday arrangements, the 16th Promotion Week is scheduled from September 11 to September 17, 2013.
