How many days is China Helping the Disabled Day?

China Helping the Disabled Day is the third Sunday in May every year.

A spokesperson for the China Disabled Persons' Federation said that there are nearly 2 million new disabled people in China every year, and the prevalence and incidence of disability are at a high level in middle-and high-income countries. Problems such as imperfect prevention system and imperfect working mechanism are more prominent, and the situation of disability prevention is still grim. According to the survey, 46% of the disabled people in China still need rehabilitation.

There are several ways to help the disabled:

1, relying on the local Party committee and government, organize party and government leaders to participate in the "send warm" activities during the "Helping the Disabled Day" to visit and sympathize with the families of the disabled, give play to their exemplary strength, and take the lead in helping the disabled;

2. Fully mobilize party member, cadres and all walks of life to "pair up and help" more disabled people, go into disabled families, solve problems for them, and provide practical and effective services such as housekeeping, medical rehabilitation, vocational training and family education;

3. Establish and improve grassroots volunteer liaison stations and disabled service agencies (stations) to form a service network and play a functional role;

4. Departments and window service industries closely related to the disabled at the grass-roots level should set up service posts for the disabled, gradually form a service network for the disabled, provide various barrier-free services, and implement "priority for the disabled".
