The basic principle of life is eight words.

.. the most basic principle of being a man, I think it is the bottom line of being a man. Only those who can keep the bottom line can keep the foundation of being a man. Only by not breaking through the bottom line can we talk about higher quality and pursuit.

So, what is the bottom line of being a man? I summed up three things to share with you:

Have a minimum of "conscience". The word "conscience" is actually a Confucian noun. Used in modern times, it is a norm recognized by the real society and itself, a kind heart, and a moral emotion of personal self-discipline. There are usually: a person should have a conscience, not be ignorant of it, and be worthy of his own conscience to express the basic principles of being a person. Conscience is innate goodness. It is also the standard of "being a man".

Be honest and loyal, don't cheat others or yourself. Deception is the most annoying behavior in life. "Self-deception" is the most stupid "cover one's ears and steal the bell". Honesty and loyalty are noble qualities. Loyalty to family, enterprise and country is the first in anyone's eyes. "Virtue" with both ability and political integrity means "sincerity" to a great extent.

Words must be done, and actions must be fruitful. Reflect a word "letter". If you promise something to others, you must do it, otherwise you won't dare to do it. Trustworthy and decisive people are trustworthy, easy to make friends, have a large circle of friends and a broader road. Many friends, many roads, many enemies and many walls.

To sum up, it is actually the perfect development of Confucian classics: benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom and faith. It is the core of China's value system and the foundation of being a man, and it seems to be inherited and carried forward today.

The 24-character core values of the new era are a high generalization of this bottom line. Especially at the personal level: patriotism, dedication, honesty and friendliness, these eight words are the most basic criteria for us to be human.
