On the land of China, foreigners seem to have more dignity than the Chinese: in addition to black people, Americans, British, French, Germans, and even Japanese and Japanese with the same skin color as us Koreans are more dignified than Chinese. Even Chinese women who are conservative by nature and never take the initiative to strike up conversations with Chinese men will rush to strike up conversations with foreigners and feel proud to be in their company.

Many people say that the Chinese people’s lack of confidence in front of foreigners stems from the history of being bullied by imperialism after 1840. I don’t agree with this view. If so, China now has a strong enough military and fought well in the Korean War, the Sino-Soviet Border War, the Sino-Indian Border War, and the Sino-Vietnamese Border War. Then why is our dignity still “fighting”? "What if you don't come back?" Where is the dignity of the Chinese people who have become stronger militarily? Why do the Chinese, who have become more powerful, still nod and bow to foreigners? Why are the Chinese who have become more powerful in war unable to receive the same treatment as Westerners in China when they go to the West?

Therefore, the statement that "China's failure in modern wars is the source of Chinese people's lack of confidence" is untenable. The French lost to Feng Zicai in Vietnam, to Germany in World War II, and to Ho Chi Minh after World War II. For a country like France that has lost successive wars in modern times, don't its citizens still receive super-national treatment in China today? When a Shanghai girl says she married a Frenchman, doesn’t she look extremely proud?

Some people say that it is because of skin color. Yellow people have not performed well in modern times. Therefore, Chinese people feel inferior to themselves as yellow people and worship white people. This is actually untenable: Japanese and Koreans are not white, they are also yellow, but the Chinese still look at them differently because they are rich. Therefore, it is untenable to say that skin color is the reason why foreigners receive super-national treatment in China.

Some people say that the culture of Confucius and Mencius lost to the Christian culture, which gave foreigners cultural superiority. This is the reason why Chinese people worship foreigners. In fact, this is still wrong: Japanese, Koreans, and Singaporeans are all in the Confucian cultural circle, and they can be arrogant and rampant in China; Russians are in the Christian cultural circle, but because of their poverty, the Chinese people do not look down on them at all .

It is not difficult to draw a conclusion: the mentality of worshiping foreigners has nothing to do with military deterrence, skin color, and culture, but has to do with wealth; what can really determine the dignity of a country’s citizens is not the barrel of a gun. , not skin color, nor culture, but money bag!

People are born with the virtue of paying tribute to the rich (of course this is not unique to the Chinese). From the nods and bows of waiters in high-end consumer places, to the salutes and exemptions from inspections of luxury cars by real estate security guards, to women’s dreams of wealthy families, to classic Western fairy tales such as princes and princesses, we can all clearly draw this conclusion: People are born to pay tribute to wealthy people. Of course, this conclusion is indeed cruel and ugly, but it is true.

Poverty is the most fundamental reason why Chinese people worship foreigners. Only when the people are prosperous can the Chinese people live with dignity and the Chinese people's history of worshiping foreigners and favoring foreign countries can be ended.
