Bobo Chicken is a famous Sichuan snack. Anyone who comes to Sichuan or Chengdu must eat it.
As a girl from Chengdu, I grew up eating Bobo Chicken, but the most delicious one is in Leshan, the birthplace of Bobo Chicken. As for the place of birth in Leshan, it seems to be everyone's common understanding. I have indeed found no official records.
The most delicious thing is that it tastes good. Compared with traditional cold skewers, it has a richer taste. It is slightly spicy and slightly sweet, and the fragrant sesame is the essence.
There are two choices of soup base: chili pepper and vine pepper (only spicy but not spicy). When you eat the vine pepper flavor, your lips will feel numb. This numb feeling is quite refreshing. The most classic dishes of Bobo Chicken are probably boneless chicken feet, chicken gizzards, and chicken hearts, but now there are more and more varieties to satisfy the public's taste. My friends from the north are determined not to try chicken offal, so they can choose beef, ham sausage, quail eggs, chicken wing tips, vegetarian dishes, etc.
The best time to eat Bobo Chicken is in the summer, when there are ice cubes in the soup base to cool down the skewers. The cold spicy skewers taste even better! Cold skewers with Bobo Chicken, chicken soup rice, and tofu wrapped in milk are also available.

Stilt-legged beef really comes from Leshan. Regarding the origin of the name, some say that an old Chinese doctor cooked beef offal soup to relieve the poor people. Everyone had no seats, so they put one foot on the beam under the table; others said that workers bought beef offal soup on the roadside. , sit on the floor, or cross your legs and finish drinking on the street, hence the name cross-legged.
Traditional stilted beef is served in small bowls. There are various varieties, including not only beef (including tender beef and fat beef), but also tripe, beef louver, beef tongue, etc. When waiting for the offal, every bowl of beef and offal comes with cabbage, a combination of meat and vegetables. Add chopped green onion and coriander before serving to make it more fragrant. But now there is also a big pot that cooks stilts beef, similar to hot pot.
The soup base has a medicinal flavor and tastes very good, but in order to enhance the taste, the soup is generally salty. Stilt-legged beef is usually paired with the store's secret sauce or dried chili powder, which is suitable for Sichuan people with heavy tastes.
There are also steamed beef noodles with spicy flavor, which are also very good to eat together.

Egg baked cake is also a Sichuan specialty snack. It is the kind that locals also love to eat, and it does not fool tourists. snacks. The soft, glutinous and slightly sweet dough is wrapped in a variety of fillings, and it is very satisfying to bite into it. Egg cakes can be eaten in almost all major cities in Sichuan. They are not Leshan specialities, but the Leshan cakes have thick skin and enough fillings, making them delicious.
The classic flavors of egg cakes include: buttery meat floss, green pepper ham, spicy beef. In recent years, cheese durian flavor has also become popular.
The most authentic egg cakes are still the same as when I was a child, sold by push cart vendors.

Ice powder is available in two flavors: brown sugar and three delicacies. Brown sugar is the traditional flavor, and Sanxian is the flavor of white sugar plus glutinous rice wine. Although this small shop in the alley is very simple, there are many people queuing up. If it is difficult to find it, just look where there are more people and queues.
Although the packaging is simple, the taste is still very refreshing. Although the preparation of ice powder is simple, the taste of each store is different. Delicious ice powder has no peculiar smell, is cool and slippery in the mouth, but has elasticity.
However, this year the old alley food store also opened a new store, with a special slogan at the door: "The three fresh ice noodles in the alley opposite the Construction Bank on Gulou Street are open for business here." The environment is naturally much brighter. However, I still miss the old benches in the alley, which feel more lifelike.
Just across the street from the ice noodles and egg cakes, there is a chicken feet restaurant that is quite famous in the area.
The various large pastries are filled with a variety of flavors, and the chili seasoning looks so good that you really can't help but salivate.
As for pickled pepper, garlic, soy sauce, or double pepper, it all depends on personal preference.

It takes about half an hour to drive from Leshan to Emeishan City, and you can eat tofu noodles with good reputation. There are both salty and sweet flavors, with ample salty ingredients and a delicate taste. The highlight of the salty taste is the chili oil and meat sauce. The appropriate amount of gravy makes the tofu curd appear thicker and more tender.
As a specialty tofu noodle store, there are also various noodle combinations with tofu noodle. It's also very powerful to eat the tofu brain until it turns into flowers.

Leshan is close to Chengdu and can be traveled back and forth in one day. The one-way drive takes about one and a half to two hours. It is also a good place to go around Chengdu.
