What are some Japanese movies worth watching?

"Hot-blooded High School"? "Spirited Away" "Dream Traveler" "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence"?

"Hot-blooded High School" is directed by Miike Takashi, starring Oguri Shun, ?An action film starring Takayuki Yamada and others. The film was released in Japan on October 27, 2007.

The film tells the story of a gang war between a group of bad students who like to fight in a notorious school called "Suzuran Boys' High School".

Youth, dreams, passion, campus, fighting... Listing the above keywords can be used as the lyrical beginning of many Japanese comics and animations, such as adding football and basketball. The truth is that simple, and if there is a fist fight, it is probably talking about "Crow High School". Isn’t the hobby of fighting the same thing as the hobby of sports? They are all about venting sweat and energy. There seems to be endless excuses for what to do with things in youth. Even if they are used to cause depression and boredom, they can be beautified in movies.

In Hayao Miyazaki's "Spirited Away", I saw two completely different stories.

The first story is about how to keep your heart clean in a materialistic world.

It reminds me of a sentence said by the French poetic realist playwright Prévert:

The confidence in life can only be achieved by transcending all kinds of hardships and meeting the eyes of children. Obtained by connecting.

How well said.

After seeing this sentence, I suddenly understood "Spirited Away".

It tells the story of a child's adventure, but it gave me, as an adult, some confidence in life.

This kind of confidence comes from the clear vision of a child, from a fearlessness and honesty that has never been experienced in the world.

In "Spirited Away", Hayao Miyazaki depicts a mysterious town for us.

This town has a medieval style, which was the darkest period in human history. There was no one in the town, just a decadent street scene at dusk.

Our protagonist, Chihiro Ogino, is a girl who has just turned 10 years old. On her way to move to the countryside with her parents, she accidentally broke into this small town.

Qianxun is a very ordinary child, not very beautiful, not too smart, a bit spoiled, prone to crying, and fragile, just like any of us when we were children.

I originally thought that the following story would tell the story of Chihiro's growth and transformation very logically.

This is of course the theme of this story.

But on the other hand, I was surprised to find that this story is not just for children, teaching them to be brave. It is a comfort to every adult, telling us that everyone has something in their heart, and we should find ways to find and protect it.

That kind of thing is: the instinct for good.

Watching Qianxun wandering around in this materialistic town is like looking at a drop of clear water and throwing it into a puddle of muddy water. I don’t know if it turns into mud in the end, or if the muddy water becomes a little clearer.

This town looks like a dream, but it is actually a reflection of reality.

It seems imaginative and far-fetched, but in fact it has unshakable operating rules.

For example, here, you must eat the food here, otherwise you will disappear; however, you cannot overeat without restraint, otherwise you will become a pig.

Here, you must find a job to prove the value of your existence, and those who seek comfort will become animals and be exiled forever.

Here, you have to endure that humans are the aliens. Those monsters may come up to you at any time and tell you: He smells really bad!

Here, money is still the supreme existence that everyone flocks to. For money, the gods can also fight to the death and lose their dignity.

Look, what is the difference between this and the real world?

After breaking through its gorgeous clothes, it is still a decayed body that has been resurrected.

What Qianxun will face is such a highly abstract real world.

However, she did not stand up to challenge these decadent rules or become a hero who changed the world.

Instead, she accepted.

In order to survive, she found a job in Yubaba's bathhouse and settled down.

This makes the whole story more realistic: each of us can only accept the established social rules and become part of this game.

The difference is that some people are tamed by the rules into a kind of cowardice; while some people always live with a bottom line.

Due to limited space, I won’t introduce the other two movies in detail. These two are my favorites, but High School is not a very deep movie, but who doesn’t have youth? Watch it Just feel good wearing it
