Laoshanjie is also known as Yuecheng Ridge. Its middle section is located in Shunhuang Mountain in Dong'an County, Hunan Province. When the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army began their Long March in October 1934, they crossed the Xiangjiang River from Quanzhou, Guangxi, and crossed the Yuecheng Ridge at the junction of Quanzhou, Guangxi and Dong'an, Xinning, "two provinces and three counties and cities" in Hunan, towards Guizhou. go ahead. I saw several colorful butterflies dancing in the green bushes.

There are twists and turns, and the mountain road ahead becomes steeper. My friends and I walked and rested for a while, but we were still sweating. Looking up, we saw the slogans left by the Red Army during the Long March on the stone wall: "Don't fall behind!" "Don't fall behind and be a tortoise!" Our spirits were lifted. Climbing up the steep stone steps, you will reach Yuecheng Ridge in "Old Mountain Boundary", which is the highest peak of this scenic route. There is Lu Gong Pavilion here, and there is an introduction to the Red Army's Long March route on the side of the pavilion. This is really a spectacle that I have never seen in my life." Savoring it carefully, I really sighed and sighed for the strength and optimism of the Red Army back then! Today, the spectacle of torches arranged in a zigzag shape can no longer be seen, but what can be seen is the zigzag winding mountain road. This is a road that extends from the foot of the mountain to the clouds. The concrete plank road opened on the cliff is not more than a foot wide. As you climb up, the mouths of the people below almost touch the heels of the people above. It was exactly like what was described in "Old Mountain World": "The mouths of the marchers behind could almost touch the heels or buttocks of the marchers in front." After walking for less than half an hour, we were out of breath and walking was difficult. While walking and stopping, the person in front could no longer walk, and the person waiting behind didn't want to hurry.

After going through all the hardships, I finally reached the top. I was really "looking back in shock, three feet away from the sky." I saw mountains surrounded by green and beautiful mountains, with clouds blowing in the pines and waves, and mist surrounding the green hills. It is true that it is easier to go up a mountain than it is to go down a mountain. There are no stone steps on the path down the mountain. It is all dirt. The exposed dirt is all held back by the roots and vines of ancient trees. It is very bumpy. The steep steps are made of bamboo and are a bit slippery. Fortunately, it did not rain. . "When going down the mountain, the latter's feet will almost step on the top of the former's head. Looking down, it's like a cliff, with torches shining on people's faces, right under their feet." Lu Dingyi's description was accurate. The way down the mountain made People feel dizzy and frightened.

Literary friends often sighed: "Back then, the Red Army carried stretchers and wounded people with heavy loads, but there was no concrete plank road like now. I don't know what they have gone through." "Today, Laoshanjie has become a good place for fitness and recuperation, but after we walked through this difficult and dangerous road, we were full of respect for the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries. Back then, the Red Army walked out from here and embarked on the road to victory; when we walk out from here today, what we get is the purification of souls and the sublimation of life.
