Deng Chizhong's Daijiachang Riot
Deng Chizhong, Huang Guoqing, Xia Demei and others rushed to Wuhan, reported the situation to the Hubei Provincial Party Committee, demanded countermeasures, and attended the meeting held by the provincial party Committee in Jigongshan, listening to and learning the spirit of the August 7th meeting conveyed by Luo Yinong and other provincial party Committee leaders and the report on the resolution on the riots in the same lake. After the meeting, Deng Chizhong and others returned to Mianyang, planning to restore and rectify the Party's organization, develop the armed forces, set up a riot backbone team, and prepare for the autumn harvest uprising. On September 3rd, Deng Chizhong and Lou Minxiu hosted a general party membership meeting in the Phoenix Terrace of Baimiao, conveying the spirit of the August 7th meeting of the Party and the decision of the provincial party committee and special committee, demanding that party member go deep into the countryside, mobilize the masses, use revolutionary armed forces to oppose counter-revolutionary armed forces and carry out agrarian revolution. The meeting executed the traitor and decided to hold a riot in Daijiachang.
Daijiachang is a market town in the middle of Mianyang, where local tyrants and regimental defense chief Tu Laowu are the biggest bullies. He has been rampant in the countryside for a long time, doing many evils, killing people without blinking an eye, and the public is extremely angry. He is called "painting a tiger". 10 On the night of Mid-Autumn Festival, Deng Chizhong brought the troublemakers to the vicinity of Liugongdi as scheduled and mobilized them before the riots. He said: "If we proletariat do not overthrow the feudal local tyrants and evil gentry, we will be oppressed and exploited forever. Today, we're going to wipe out the butcher. Do you have confidence? " The players replied with a thunderous voice: "Yes!" Later, Deng Chizhong distributed guns, darts and firecrackers to the troublemakers. In the moonlight, he led a team to Daijiachang and quickly surrounded Tu Laowu's home. Stubborn Tu Laowu fought against the riot squad with iron hoops in high walls and deep courtyards, but the players could not attack for a while. In order to reduce our casualties, Deng Chizhong ordered the firewood to be poured thoroughly with kerosene and burned the house. When Tu Laowu, who was hiding in the house, saw the fire, ShaSheng shook the ground and hurriedly jumped off the roof in an attempt to escape. At this time, Dong Jintang, the riot captain with a spear, saw a shadow on the roof, raised his hand and fired, hitting Tu Laowu's leg. Tu Laowu fell from the house into a pumpkin patch beside the house. The mob rushed up, stepped on Tu Laowu's head and rushed into the compound, taking away the guns and ammunition of the reactionary Tuan Ding. A few days later, Tu Laowu died. Deng Chizhong led the mob to clean up the property overnight, posted slogans, announced the crime of slaughtering the old five, and loaded the seized cloth, grain and oil and other property on more than 20 ships, which were transported to the White Temple Phoenix Terrace as military supplies.
The Daijiachang riots started the first shot of the autumn harvest riots in central Hubei, which opened the prelude to the revolutionary armed struggle in Jianghan Plain, greatly inspired the revolutionary fighting spirit of the broad masses of the people and provided valuable successful experience for the armed struggle in various places. Subsequently, Deng Chizhong led the riot squad to organize armed riots of different scales in Fuchang, Baimiao, Yangshufeng, Xiaohekou, Pengjiachang, Zhengdaohu, Duanjiachang and Tugboat Port, and the beacon of the uprising spread rapidly in Mianyang.
In June+10, 5438, the armed forces developed by the uprising led by Xiao and Deng Chizhong, the southern leaders of the Hubei-China Special Committee, joined some peasant armed forces in Jianli to form the Fourth Army of the Workers and Peasants Revolutionary Army in Liubeng Lake, southwest of Mianyang.
