Eight prohibitions on police work discipline

The eight prohibitions on police work discipline are as follows:

1, it is forbidden to leave the post during work;

2. It is strictly forbidden to accept meals or articles from criminals, reeducation-through-labor personnel and their families;

3. Beating, corporal punishment and maltreatment of reeducation-through-labor personnel are strictly prohibited;

4. It is strictly forbidden to use guns and restraints in violation of regulations;

5. It is forbidden to drink alcohol and drive a motor vehicle when working or dressing in public places;

6. It is strictly forbidden to provide communication tools for criminals and reeducation-through-labor personnel;

7. It is strictly forbidden to accept the escort of the opposite sex or participate in entertainment activities paid by public funds in the business premises;

8. It is forbidden to participate in gambling activities.

Policing refers to the affairs that the police maintain social order. The specific contents include:

1, prevent, stop and investigate illegal and criminal activities;

2. Maintain social order and stop acts that endanger social order;

3. Maintain traffic safety and traffic order and deal with traffic accidents;

4. Organize the implementation of fire control work and implement fire control supervision;

5, the management of firearms, ammunition, knives and flammable, explosive, toxic, radioactive and other dangerous goods;

6, guarding the specific personnel stipulated by the state, guarding important places and facilities;

7. Manage assemblies, processions and demonstrations;

8. Manage household administration, nationality, entry and exit affairs and matters related to foreigners' residence and travel in China.

People's Republic of China (PRC) National Police Law Article 2 The tasks of the people's police are to safeguard national security, maintain social order, protect citizens' personal safety, personal freedom and legitimate property, protect public property, and prevent, stop and punish illegal and criminal activities.

The people's police include the people's police of public security organs, state security organs, prisons and reeducation-through-labor administrative organs, and the judicial police of people's courts and people's procuratorates.

Article 6 The people's police of public security organs shall perform the following duties according to the division of responsibilities:

(a) to prevent, stop and investigate illegal and criminal activities;

Maintain public order and stop acts that endanger public order;

(3) Maintaining traffic safety and traffic order and handling traffic accidents;

(four) to organize the implementation of fire control work, the implementation of fire supervision;

(five) the management of firearms and ammunition, knives and flammable, explosive, toxic, radioactive and other dangerous goods;

Management of special industries as stipulated by laws and regulations;

(seven) to guard the specific personnel and important places and facilities stipulated by the state;

Manage assemblies, processions and demonstrations;

(nine) the management of housework, nationality, entry and exit affairs and the residence and travel of foreigners in China;

(10) maintaining public order in the country (border);

(eleven) the execution of criminal punishment for criminals sentenced to criminal detention or deprivation of political rights;

(twelve) to supervise and manage the security protection of computer information systems;

(thirteen) to guide and supervise the public security work of state organs, social organizations, enterprises and institutions and key construction projects, and to guide the public security prevention work of mass organizations such as public security committees;

(fourteen) other duties as prescribed by laws and regulations.
