Jiangsu is located in the eastern coastal center of Chinese mainland, and its jurisdiction covers the southern Yellow Sea and the northern East China Sea. There are also Haizhou Bay Fishing Ground, Lvsi Fishing Ground, Changjiang Estuary Fishing Ground and Dasha Fishing Ground among the eight major fishing grounds in China. Hydrological characteristics of Jiangsu province

Jiangsu Province is located in the lower reaches of the five major rivers in Jianghuai, Yishusi and the Yangtze River cross southern Jiangsu, which is the most reliable water resource in Jiangsu. The Yangtze River traverses 433 kilometers from east to west in Jiangsu Province, and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal runs through 765,438+08 kilometers from north to south.

There are large and medium-sized lakes in Jiangsu, such as Taihu Lake, Hongze Lake, gaoyou lake Lake, Roman Lake, Baima Lake, Shijiu Lake and Weishan Lake, as well as many tributaries, such as the Grand Canal, Hu Aishu River, Chuanchang River, Guanhe River, Yanhe River, Tongyu Canal, Subei Irrigation Canal and Yangtong Canal. The canals are vertical and horizontal, and the water network is dense.

Among the five major freshwater lakes in China, two are located in Jiangsu Province, and Taihu Lake covers an area of 2,250 square kilometers, ranking third. Hongze Lake ranks fourth with an area of 2,069 square kilometers. In addition, there are more than 290 lakes, including 12 lakes with an area of over 50 square kilometers.
