By the end of June, 2020, Huadu District had jurisdiction over four sub-district offices of Xinhua, Huacheng, Xinya and Xiuquan, and six towns of East China, Huashan, Tiemian, Shiling, Chini and Tanbu, with jurisdiction over eight Xinhua Streets, nine Huacheng Streets and Xinxin/Kloc.

There are 64 community residents' committees in the whole district, including 32 Xinhua Street, 9 Huacheng Street, 4 Xinya Street, 6 Xiuquan Street, 5 Huadong Town, Huashan Town 1 each, Tiemian Town 1 each, 3 Shiling Town, 2 Chini Town and Tanbu Town 1 each. There are 1980 villagers' groups and 225 residents' groups in the region.

The local dialects in Huadu District mainly include Cantonese (vernacular) and Hakka dialect. Cantonese is widely spoken in the whole region, accounting for about two-thirds of the total population, mostly distributed in streets and towns such as Xinhua, Huacheng, Xiuquan, Xinya, Huashan and Tanbu.

The population of Hakka language family accounts for about one third of the total population, mostly distributed in Timian Town and Shiling Town. Cantonese and Hakka are mixed in Chini and Huadong Town, and Minnan dialect is the main dialect in Huadong Town.
