Notes

Visit by appointment

1. This museum mainly offers visits by appointment. 2,000 reserved visit tickets are issued every day. A small number of visiting tickets are available for collection on site every day, while supplies last.

2. Visitors can make reservations by phone or online. For personal reservations, information such as the name and ID number of the person making the reservation must be provided, and the staff will inform the reservation number.

3. The team must make an appointment. For team appointments, the name of the unit, contact person and contact information must be provided.

4. Each ID number (ID card, driver’s license, passport) is limited to 3 visit tickets per day.

Instructions for collecting tickets

1. Time for collecting visit tickets: Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00 to 15:30. Visiting tickets are valid on the same day.

2. Individual or group spectators who have made a reservation should go to the ticket collection office to collect their tickets; viewers who have not made a reservation, and those holding gold and silver cards or membership cards should go to the ticket collection office without a reservation.

3. Visitors who make individual reservations must go to the ticket office to collect their tickets on the day of visit with the valid ID and reservation number registered at the time of reservation. Each ID and reservation number can receive up to 3 visit tickets per day.

4. For group reservations, please bring a letter of introduction from your unit to the ticket office to collect group visit tickets.

5. Visitors who have made a reservation and have not arrived after 11 a.m. or 15 p.m. will cancel their reservation for the day.

Ticket Checking Instructions

1. Ticket checking time: 09:00 to 16:00.

2. Audiences with reservations and those who receive tickets on site should check in through the south ticket gate to enter the museum.

3. Special events can be entered through the retractable gate on the east side of the North Square with the sign in the hall and the team ticket with the team ticket.

4. There is a security check gate at the main entrance of the museum. Visitors are asked to cooperate with the inspection voluntarily.

Group visits

1. Group reservations are specially designed for groups of 30 or more people. If the number of people is less than 30 people, they will be booked as individual visitors on our website. Reservations, group reservations only accept phone reservations (see the official website for phone numbers). The opening hours of the museum are: 09:00 to 16:30 every day except Monday when it is closed (if the holiday falls on Monday, it will be open normally).

2. The museum will process reservations on a first-come, first-served basis. Group reservations should be made by phone one week to three days before the visit date. After confirming that the registration is completed, log in to our website to download the "Group Reservation Application" Form", please read this instruction carefully and fill out the "Group Reservation Application Form" truthfully. After completing the filling, fax this form (see official website) to the China Film Museum 3 days before the scheduled visit date. Our museum will receive the "Group Reservation Application Form" After completing the application form, confirm by phone with the team leader. After confirmation, our library will notify the group leader by phone. When the group comes to the library, please bring and return the "Group Reservation Application Form" sent back by our library to the ticket office to redeem group tickets.

3. Our museum has the right to make decisions regarding the various applications in the "Group Reservation Application Form". The approval of the application project depends on the actual situation on the visit day and is subject to the final phone call confirmation.

4. Groups should arrive at the China Film Museum on time to avoid affecting the day’s visit arrangements. If the group is late for more than 30 minutes, the reserved service may be cancelled.

5. The buses for visiting groups park directly at the north parking lot outside the museum to drop off passengers. Parking spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and there will be no reserved parking spaces.

6. Due to the limited storage space in the bag depository, visitors should avoid bringing large items such as school bags and valuables to the museum.

7. The team leader must maintain the order of the team and, as the first person in charge of team safety, please arrange a sufficient number of accompanying team leaders. The ratio of team leaders to the number of visitors is 1:30, and the ratio of student groups is 1:20 (Primary school students in third grade and below will not be admitted). During the visit, student groups should visit at least in class units and cannot be disbanded. The team leader must gather all team members before leaving the museum after the visit.

8. Please do not use loudspeakers within the museum. In case of emergency, the team leader can request assistance from museum staff.

9. Visitors are not allowed to smoke, make noise, or touch exhibits within the museum, and the flash should be turned off when taking photos.

10. Visitors are not allowed to eat or drink within the museum. (Except for those who purchase and eat in restaurants, water bars, and cafes, but they should eat in designated areas)

11. If visitors violate relevant regulations within the museum, such as damaging exhibits If it affects other visitors, our staff have the right to stop it and ask visitors to leave immediately.
