Yanzhai Village, Yongkang City is located in the west of Yongkang. Huajie Town is located in the mid-levels of northwest China. Take National Highway 330 and enter Sichuan from Yanggongfu. The last village at the bottom of the pit is Yanzhai Village, which was called Duchuankeng in ancient times. It is 0/6km away from Yongkang City/KLOC-0. There is a shuttle bus from the city to the village, which takes only half an hour by car. Yanzhai Village is located at the junction of Yongkang and Wuyi counties, and the cave at the entrance of the village passes through the boundary of Wuyi.

According to genealogical records, the descendants of Yan in Yongkang originated from the forty-ninth generation grandson of Yan Hui in Qufu, Shandong Province, and came to Yongkang to spread their branches and leaves during the Jiayou period of the Northern Song Dynasty, which has been more than 950 years.

Yanzhai village is still an old revolutionary base area, and there were guerrillas in the village in the early days of liberation. Fei Ying, the former director of the Food Department in Huangpu District of Shanghai and the first county magistrate of Yongkang County after liberation, once carried out revolutionary activities in Yanzhai Village. In the early years, on the roadside where we went to visit the grave, there were still mud-walled straw houses where revolutionary ancestors lived during guerrilla warfare. But with the passage of time, these have been submerged in the long river of history!

Yanzhai Pit is narrow, with winding mountains and rivers, high mountains and dense forests. The village has beautiful scenery, fresh air and simple folk customs, and a clear stream passes through the village. Especially in the past two years, under the leadership of the two village committees, the village appearance has been greatly improved through the construction of new countryside.

My husband's hometown is in Yanzhai Village, but my husband's grandparents have moved to the county seat, and the old house collapsed before liberation. Although every year, Tomb-Sweeping Day's parents-in-law will lead a dozen people, large and small, back to their hometown to worship their ancestors and sweep the grave, but they have no fixed address and don't want to trouble their relatives, so they always come and go in a hurry.

As my in-laws grew older, my husband and I had the idea of buying an old house in our hometown. There is an earthen stove in the old house, and my husband and I took a fancy to it at first sight when we were looking at the house. If you are interested and have time, invite classmates, colleagues or friends to get together in the old house. The rice crust cooked with earthen stoves and firewood is crispy and more delicious than that cooked with rice cookers!

In order to repay my hometown folks and get to know more folks, I contacted the volunteer group, and under the arrangement of the person in charge of the volunteer group, I went back to my hometown to carry out an activity of respecting the elderly on the last day of March.
