Introduce the Architectural and Structural Design Association of Anhui University of Science and Technology.

The Association was established on April 28th, 2007, and is affiliated to the College of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Under the guidance of the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, under the supervision and leadership of the Communist Youth League Committee and the management committee of college students' associations, the Association aims to enrich students' extracurricular cultural life, improve their practical ability, cultivate their interests, unite and help each other, and always adhere to interest, practice, innovation and dedication. Actively carry out community-related activities.

Association activities

1. The activities of the association focus on the design, manufacture and assembly of building models, training the foundation of component production, cultivating innovative ability, improving innovative thinking and enhancing everyone's interest in architecture and structure.

2. The Association regularly teaches members about the application of civil construction-related software, and regularly organizes professionals to conduct training and lectures on construction software to increase students' professional knowledge and skills.

Organize a structural design competition jointly with other universities to improve the level of our students and increase exchanges and cooperation with other universities.

4. Every spring, the Association will hold a kite festival, give full play to their creative thinking, make kites in various styles, turn graffiti into their favorite style, and let go of freedom and youth.

5. The Association undertakes the annual National Structural Design Competition-the National College Students' Structural Design Competition, which is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and china civil engineering society, and undertaken by universities in turn. It is one of the nine national academic competitions for college students determined by the Ministry of Education. Our school has always achieved good results in this competition. In order to improve the overall participation level of our school, the Association has conducted internal trial training and achieved good results. It is also one of the top universities in the province that are eligible to participate. It won the first prize and the best creative award in the 9th National College Students' Structural Design Competition, which was the first time that Anhui universities won this award, and it shined brilliantly in the 11th "Zhongnan Architectural Design Institute Cup" competition, and won the national second prize, third prize and best creative award.

6. Hold a building simulation model making contest to improve students' art appreciation ability and hands-on production ability, and enrich students' cultural life. The Association also regularly organizes to understand the integration of history, culture and civil architecture in different countries, understand the green architecture and intelligent architecture in the new era, and explore the cultural charm of civil architecture and the exchange platform of architecture and structural design in other universities.
