How many items are world-class intangible cultural heritages in China?

China has 42 world-class intangible cultural heritages.

June 1 1 is the "Cultural and Natural Heritage Day" in 2022. Recently, more than 6,000 non-legacy publicity and exhibition activities have been carried out all over the country. By the end of June, 5438+February, 2020, 42 items in China have been listed in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List (roster), ranking first in the world.

The selection of 42 projects not only reflects the continuous improvement of China's intangible heritage protection and inheritance level, but also has great significance for China to continue its historical context, strengthen its cultural self-confidence, promote cultural exchanges and mutual learning, and build a socialist cultural power.

Classification of intangible cultural heritage:

1. Folk handicrafts: manufacturing tools and machinery, processing agricultural and livestock products, firing, weaving, printing and dyeing, metalworking, weaving and binding, painting, papermaking, printing and binding, and others.

2. Folk literature: myths, legends, stories, ballads, epics, long poems, proverbs, riddles, etc.

3. Folk art: painting, sculpture, craft, architecture and others.

4. Folk music: folk songs, instrumental music, dance music, opera music, folk art music and others.

5. Folk dances: life custom dances, seasonal custom dances, life etiquette dances, religious belief dances, production custom dances, etc.

6. Opera: Qupai Opera, Banqiang Opera, Qupai Comprehensive Opera, Minority Opera, Folk Opera, Nuo Opera, Puppet Opera, etc.

7. Quyi: telling stories, singing, joking and others.
