History of Hebei Provincial Museum

Hebei Museum is located in Shijiazhuang Cultural Square, starting from Zhongshan Road in the north, Fanxi Road in the south, Dongjie Street in the east and Xijie Street in the west. Hebei Museum, formerly known as Hebei Provincial Museum, was established in April 1953, located in the courtyard of the ancient lotus pond in Baoding. In addition, there are more than 50,000 books in the museum, many of which are rare books of Ming and Qing dynasties, and it is one of the main collection units of local chronicles in Hebei Province. Hebei Provincial Museum integrates the advantages of cultural relics collected by provincial cultural institutions, extracts the most wonderful chapters in Hebei history, introduces the basic display system of the new museum, and has nine permanent exhibitions: Hebei in Stone Age, Hebei Shang Civilization, Generous Tragedy-Zhao Yan's Story, Glory of Warring States-Ancient Zhongshan Country, Farewell of Great Men-Han Tomb in Mancheng and Hundred Years.
