Slogans of ancient towns in Yangtze River Delta

There is heaven in the world and Suzhou and Hangzhou in the world! Suzhou has always been a fertile land. The ancient towns and gardens in the south of the Yangtze River are unique to China. Canglang Pavilion, Lion Forest, Humble Administrator's Garden, Lingering Garden, Zhouzhuang Town, Tongli Ancient Town and Luzhi Ancient Town are all famous in China, but the beauty of Suzhou is far more than these gardens and ancient towns. Although some ancient towns are not as famous as Zhouzhuang Tongli, their playability is not worse than theirs. For example, the ancient town of Lili in Wujiang is one of them.

Lili ancient town is located in Wujiang, Suzhou. Like many ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River, it not only has a long history, but also has a rich culture and is unique in some aspects. For example, it has 1 15 alleys, 256 river ports and 254 cable cars, all of which are the oldest towns in the south of the Yangtze River. In addition, it has the largest folk museum in the Yangtze River Delta and the largest tin museum in China. There are many bridges, which are basically ancient bridges in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. They have different shapes and picturesque scenery. The following is a group of photos I took casually while wandering around the ancient town to share with you.

Tian Ping Bridge, formerly known as Taiping Bridge. The date of its establishment cannot be verified. Yang Haoran, a Taoist priest, was rebuilt in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty and by villagers in Kangxi period. 1972 was rebuilt into a cement double-curved arch bridge. The bridge is connected by a bridge: Zhu Yuan in the northwest contains a blessed land, and the peak of Baoge in the southeast. Zhu Yuan in the bridge connection refers to the Pearl Pond in Lili, and Baoge is the octagonal pavilion at the east gate.

The bridge is located on the east side of Lili Old Street, and its thousand stones and the inner wall of the main arch ticket have Qinglong reliefs. Now the sculpture is still clear, and the charm of that year can be seen. According to local friends, the bridge was built in Chenghua period of Ming Dynasty, and the lotus pattern carved on the bridge head and the dragon head bridge ear indicates that the bridge is a relic of Ming Dynasty. There are two couplets on the bridge, which are: "Changhong hangs high for thousands of months, and the giant locks are connected with thousands of clouds" and "Wumart is an outstanding person". It seems that they are full of momentum and enthusiasm. The film and television drama "An Unfinished Chess" also took a street view with Qinglong Bridge as the background.

Wang En Bridge, also known as Pavilion Bridge, spans Lihua Street and Xixin Street. Built in the fifth year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty, it was rebuilt in the fifty-third year of Kangxi and the second year of Xianfeng. There are mainly three kinds of stone materials, namely, wukangshi, bluestone and granite, and the bridge deck has reincarnation. This is an arch bridge. It can be said that it is a picturesque bridge in Lili, which can be compared with Qinglong Bridge in Lili in terms of shape, momentum and history. Wukangshi used in bridge arch ring is a model of bridge materials in Song Dynasty, and bluestone used in bridge body is also a model of bridge materials in Yuan and Ming Dynasties.

Dengjin Bridge, also known as Xiajia Bridge, is located in the middle section of Shihe River in Lili Ancient Town, crossing Zhongxin Street and Jianxin Street, showing a north-south trend. The date of initial construction cannot be verified, and it was rebuilt in the thirty-eighth year of Qianlong and the twenty years of Guangxu. The pier is strong and built by riding water. "Entering the school" shows people's desire for "high school" and "entering the school".

Daonan Bridge is located in Xiatang, Lili Old Street, across the tributary of Tang Lili, commonly known as "Fangsheng Bridge", and is a single arch bridge. In the fifty-fourth year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (17 15), it was built and rebuilt by local resident Chen Yongnian. There is an approach bridge at the western end of the bridge. The whole bridge is a little damaged, but it is still intact.

The appearance of Tieyun Bridge is somewhat similar to that of Deng Jin Bridge, which can be said to be a pair of sister bridges. It is located in the east of Deng Jin Bridge, adjacent to Liu Yazi's former residence. The style, material, structure and volume of this bridge are almost the same as those of Deng Jin Bridge, just like twins. The difference is that this bridge has an approach bridge in the north and no approach bridge in the south. There is also an ancient stone square on the west side of the north shore.

Xiang Ying Bridge, located in Pinglou Street, is a three-hole beam bridge with parallel piers. It was built in the sixth year of Ming Dynasty (144 1) and rebuilt in the eighth year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty (1869). The original name of this bridge is Jia Ruqiao, and "Ru" is homophonic with "Ru". If children are short of milk, they will be carried to the bridge by adults. Therefore, the locals call it "Jia Ruqiao who wants to eat grandma".

The ancient town is located above the water town in the south of the Yangtze River. Where there is water, there is a bridge. In addition to the above bridges, there are many ancient bridges in Lili Ancient Town, such as Qiuqi Bridge, Qingfeng Bridge, Dingxin Bridge and Deng Ying Bridge. They are all ancient bridges of cultural relics built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. They not only have a long history and are well preserved, but also are very strong and can be used normally. In the long history, these bridges have connected the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, making life convenient and easier.
