Refers to the frontier inspection stations set up by People's Republic of China (PRC) at ports open to the outside world, such as ports, airports, railway stations and border crossings. Entry-exit frontier inspection station is an important part of China's entry-exit management system. At present, the national entry-exit frontier inspection stations are divided into two types: professional frontier inspection stations and active frontier inspection stations. Their jobs are of the same nature and their systems are different.

Professional border inspection agencies: there are 9 * * * in China, which are transformed from the border defense of armed police. At present, the staff of nine major stations are national civil servants and people's police. These nine stations are Beijing Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station, Tianjin Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station, Shanghai Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station, Guangzhou Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station, Shenzhen Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station, Zhuhai Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station, Xiamen Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station, Haikou Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station and Shantou Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station. Terminal 9 is led vertically by the Ministry of Public Security, specifically by the Exit-Entry Administration of the Ministry of Public Security.

Active frontier inspection organs: Except for the above nine frontier inspection stations, frontier inspection stations at other ports open to the outside world in China are all active frontier inspection corps of the Armed Police, led by the Frontier Administration Bureau of the Fourth Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security.
