Walter Postdoctoral Research Center was jointly initiated by the Institute of Finance of China Academy of Social Sciences and Walter Investment Holdings Co., Ltd., and was formally approved by the Ministry of Personnel in June 2000. Walter postdoctoral research center is an enterprise postdoctoral workstation focusing on economic and financial theory and investment banking practice. In 2005, it was awarded the National Excellent Postdoctoral Research Center by the Ministry of Personnel and the National Postdoctoral Management Committee, and it was the only post-doctoral workstation engaged in social science research among the 22 workstations that won this honor.
