Brief introduction of Zoumaling site

Zoumaling Site 1 is a Neolithic site located in Dongsheng Town, Shishou City, Hubei Province. Zoumaling was named after Guan Yu, a famous soldier of the Three Kingdoms, who rode a horse and waved a whip here. It was built in the late Daxi culture or the early Qujialing culture 5000 years ago. The core of the site is an irregular rectangular ancient city site. The site covers a total area of 200,000 square meters (including city walls and moats), of which the site area in the city is about 50,000 square meters. Late Daxi culture, early, middle and late Qujialing culture, early and middle Shijiahe culture. In June, 20001year, the State Council announced the Zoumaling site as the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units. 2014165438+1in mid-October, Zoumaling site was listed as a great site protection circle in Hubei Province by the Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau.
