Since 2008, April 2nd every year has been designated as "World Autism Concern Day" to raise people's attention to autism and related research and diagnosis, as well as autistic patients. April 2, 20 17 is the 10th World Autism Day. The theme of this year's activity is: intervention and integration of autism, aiming at advocating the society to pay attention to early screening, early diagnosis and early intervention of autism, and at the same time creating an equal and inclusive social integration environment for autism.

However, China still lacks official statistical reports. According to WHO statistics, the number of autistic children in Chinese mainland is about 6 million-1.8 million, but some scholars believe that the actual number may reach 2.6-8 million. Autism has become an important disease of children's mental disability. With the rising incidence, it has brought and will continue to bring huge social and economic burden to families and society.

Early intervention can effectively improve autism.

Now more and more children are suffering from autism. For parents, the most important thing is how to treat autism. Can autism be cured? Autism is a very complicated disease. Correct diagnosis and early intervention in the hospital are very helpful for future treatment. Autism can be divided into severe, moderate and mild. For children with moderate and mild autism, proper education and training in hospitals and formal institutions can improve their situation, and they can even grow up healthily and live and work independently like normal children.

If autistic children lack early scientific intervention, even if they receive treatment in the future, they will not be able to live and work normally and may even be disabled. Therefore, early intervention plays an important role in the treatment of autism. Similarly, family training and integrated education are equally important for autism. Scientific and effective intervention and treatment, combined with family training and social education, can help autistic patients recover their language, behavior and learning ability.
