Pucheng county, Hometown of Camellia oleifera in China

On May 7th, 2009, China Economic Forest Association officially named Pucheng County of Fujian Province as the "Hometown of Camellia oleifera in China" and awarded plaques and certificates. Pucheng County Camellia oleifera forest covers an area of 6.5438+0.35 million mu, ranking first in Nanping area. Camellia oleifera has good edible value, broad market space and high economic value. Pucheng Camellia oleifera has a long history and unique planting conditions, which is a good channel for farmers to increase their income and get rich. In recent years, Pucheng County Party Committee and government have listed Camellia oleifera industry as a key characteristic industry, set up a county Camellia oleifera industry development leading group, formulated an implementation plan for Camellia oleifera industry development, and introduced preferential policies and measures to support Camellia oleifera industry development, which has achieved remarkable results. In 2008, the county completed the transformation of low-yield camellia oleifera forest by 5,000 mu, and established five demonstration bases of camellia oleifera forest, with an annual output of tea seeds 10560 tons and tea oil of 2,640 tons, with an output value of1350,000 yuan.
