What is the special significance of China's passing the Land Boundary Law at this time?

There are 62 articles in Chapter 7 of the Land Border Law, the main contents of which include: defining the basic contents of land border work, such as the leadership system, departmental responsibilities, the tasks of the army and the responsibilities of local people's governments, as well as the delimitation and demarcation of land borders, the defense of land borders and national borders, the management of land borders and national borders, and international cooperation in land border affairs.

After the Ladakh confrontation initially subsided, China and India held 13 rounds of commander-level talks, but no breakthrough has been made so far. On the contrary, in the recent round 13, it was the commander level.

It is precisely because of this that the promulgation of the new law provides a sufficient legal basis for China's border guards to deal with related affairs in the future, ensuring that China's border guards can deal with organizations or individuals who commit cross-border crimes in the first time according to law, and further clarifying China's territorial sovereignty in this way.

We must be soberly aware that as China is under more and more pressure from the western camp in the world, the unresolved territorial issue with its neighbors will surely become a hidden danger, and among all the hidden dangers, the pressure from India is the most urgent, not only because India is our second largest land border neighbor, but also because the Modi government of India is very keen to transfer domestic pressure by creating contradictions externally, which will greatly undermine the border situation between China and India and worsen bilateral relations.

Therefore, before the worst situation develops, we must take the lead in clarifying our position and attitude. Although there are many unresolved problems on the Sino-Indian border, we must take the first step to solve these problems. Otherwise, the Sino-Indian border will always be a "card" in the hands of the Indian government and western forces, constantly distracting and containing China's energy. Therefore, stabilizing and resolving the Sino-Indian border issue as soon as possible goes beyond the Sino-Indian border itself. It has become an important part of China's strategic security, and the promulgation of Land Border Law provides a legal tool to remedy this loophole. It is believed that more new laws will be promulgated one after another in the future, which will provide strong support for safeguarding China's territorial sovereignty.
