Shanghai Metro Line 8, also known as Yangpu Line, is the seventh subway of Shanghai rail transit, which is operated by Shanghai Metro No.4 Operation Co., Ltd..

The northern section of the line was opened to traffic on February 29th, 2007. Since then, Nanyan, Dongfang Sports Center Station and China Art Palace Station have been opened one after another.

The line starts from Guangyuan Road, Zhongyuan Community, Yangpu District in the north, passes through People's Square in downtown Shanghai, crosses Huangpu River, reaches Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in Pudong New Area, and finally reaches pujiang town Shen Du Highway in Minhang District. As of August 20 14, the total length of the line is 37.4 kilometers, with 30 stations, including transfer station 10, and two depots, namely Yin Hang Depot and pujiang town Parking Lot.

Shanghai Metro Line 7 is the ninth line of Shanghai rail transit system, passing through Baoshan, Putuo, Jing 'an, Xuhui and Pudong New Area.

The line was opened to traffic at some stations on February 5, 2009. Since then, Houtan Station, Beiyan Section and Qihua Road Station have been opened one after another.

The line starts from meilan lake (Mei Dan Road, Hutai Highway) in Baoshan District, passes through Shanghai downtown and reaches Hua Mu Road in Pudong New Area. The total length of the line is about 44.35km, with 33 stations, including 9 transfer stations and 2 vehicle depots, namely Longyang Road and Qiu Jin Road parking lots.
