Did you know? In 2011, the 26th Summer Universiade will be held in Shenzhen. This is a great event in the history of Shenzhen.

The World University Games is an international comprehensive sports event organized by the International University Sports Federation. It is held every two years. Its scale is second only to the Olympic Games. It is known as the "Little Olympics". For summer games and winter games.

So far, Beijing, my country, successfully applied and held the 21st Summer University Games in 2001, and Harbin also successfully held the 24th Winter University Games in 2009.

The slogan of Shenzhen’s bid to host the Universiade is: Shenzhen is not far away from the world.

So, as Shenzhen people, what should we do for the 2011 Universiade?

Let us share two reports first:

The first report is about Singapore. Singapore is a country where English is commonly spoken, and most of the slogans in public places in this country are written in English. However, some of the civilized and polite slogans, such as "No spitting", "No smoking", "No entering the lawn", etc. are written in Chinese.

Why is this? When asked, they replied: "Because most of the people who engage in these uncivilized behaviors are tourists from mainland China." For this reason, a middle school principal who visited Singapore for inspection said earnestly: "Uncivilized behaviors are also a national humiliation!"

Another report came from CCTV, which reported that chewing gum residues could be seen everywhere in Tiananmen Square after the National Day. There were actually 600,000 pieces of chewing gum residue in the 400,000-square-meter Tiananmen Square.

In some places, there were nine pieces of chewing gum stains on the ground less than one square meter. The dense stains formed a strong contrast with the sanctity and solemnity of Tiananmen Square.

There are many similar reports, which makes us Chinese very embarrassed.

Civilization is actually made up of details, which is reflected in every word and deed in our daily life. Reflecting on what we have done, we will find that civilization is still some distance away from us. Around us, among some students, there are still some uncivilized behaviors.

For example, in our campus and on the stairs, we can always see scraps of paper that are extremely discordant with our beautiful campus; some students chase and fight in the corridors of the teaching building, and push and push each other while walking. There are also some students who swear and use foul language, climb branches at will, and even some students deliberately damage the school's public property.

I hope that students who have these uncivilized behaviors can pay attention to correcting them. Let us work hard on our own words and deeds to say goodbye to uncivilized phenomena. Listen carefully in class and respect the teacher's work;

Students should be united and friendly, help each other; care for the environment, pay attention to hygiene, etc. We must be civilized and observe etiquette at all times not only in the classroom, but also in the corridors, on campus, at home, and even in society.

The Universiade has entered Shenzhen time. By then, we will welcome guests and friends from all over the world. Let us join hands to welcome the Universiade, be civilized, and establish new trends. Let us start from me. , start from the little things around you, be a civilized Chinese, be an elegant Shenzhen person, and be a proud Nanxiaolian.
