Prosecutor level

There are four levels and twelve levels of prosecutors as follows: chief prosecutor; grand prosecutor: first and second levels; senior prosecutor: first, second, third and fourth levels; prosecutor Officer: first level, second level, third level, fourth level, fifth level.

Prosecutors implement the following job establishment levels:

1. Supreme People’s Procuratorate: Chief Prosecutor: Chief Prosecutor; Deputy Prosecutor General: First-level Prosecutor to Second-level Prosecutor Officials; members of the Procuratorial Committee: Grand Prosecutor II to Senior Prosecutor II; Prosecutors: Senior Prosecutor I to Senior Prosecutor IV; Assistant Prosecutors: Prosecutor First Class to Prosecutor III.

2. People’s Procuratorate of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government: Chief Prosecutor: Second-level Senior Prosecutor; Deputy Prosecutor-General: First-level Senior Prosecutor to Third-level Senior Prosecutor; Members of the Procuratorial Committee: Second-level Senior Prosecutor Officials to Senior Prosecutors Level 4; Prosecutors: Senior Prosecutors Level 2 to Prosecutors Level 2; Assistant Prosecutors: Prosecutors Level 1 to Prosecutors Level 4.

3. Provincial and autonomous region People’s Procuratorate branches, autonomous prefectures and provincial municipalities People’s Procuratorate: Chief Prosecutor: senior prosecutors from the first level to senior prosecutors from the third level; deputy prosecutors: senior prosecutors from the second level to the fourth level Senior prosecutor at level 3; members of the procuratorial committee: senior prosecutors from level 3 to level 1; prosecutors: senior prosecutors from level 3 to level 3; assistant prosecutors: prosecutors from level 2 to level 5.

4. People’s Procuratorates of counties, cities, autonomous counties, and municipal districts: Chief Prosecutor: Senior Prosecutor Level 3 to Senior Prosecutor Level 4; Deputy Prosecutor General: Senior Prosecutor Level 4 to Prosecutor First Level; Members of the Procuratorial Committee: Senior Prosecutors Level 4 to Prosecutors Level 2; Prosecutors: Senior Prosecutors Level 4 to Prosecutors Level 4; Assistant Prosecutors: Prosecutors Level 3 to Prosecutors Level 5.

The assessment of prosecutors shall be organized and implemented by the People’s Procuratorate where they work. The assessment of prosecutors should be objective and fair, combining leadership with the masses, and combining daily assessment with annual assessment. The assessment content of prosecutors includes: prosecutorial work performance, ideological and moral character, prosecutorial business and legal theory level, work attitude and work style. Focus on assessing the performance of procuratorial work.

The annual assessment results are divided into three grades: excellent, competent and incompetent. The assessment results serve as the basis for rewards, punishments, training, dismissal, and adjustment of grades and wages for prosecutors. The assessment results will be notified to the applicant in writing. If I have any objection to the assessment results, I can apply for reconsideration.
