The Historical Origin of Zhushan Sacred Heart Bridge

War and faith. Located in Desheng Town, about 75 kilometers west of Zhushan County. According to statistics, there are two legends about the name of this bridge. On the one hand, a local rich man surnamed Yuan begged his son to donate money to build the bridge and named it "Sacred Heart Bridge"; Second, at the end of the Ming Dynasty, Zhang Jun, a peasant rebel, planned to cross Shaanxi from Gucheng, Hubei Province and become king in Sichuan. The vanguard troops it sent were defeated by local militia at the mouth of Wenyu River, so it was called "Sacred Heart Bridge". Zhushan County, formerly known as Shang Yong County, belongs to Shiyan City, Hubei Province.
