Haier's US refrigerator factory broke ground in April 1999 in Camden, South Carolina, USA. It was officially put into production in March 2000 and has about 180 local employees.

They produce more than 10,000 refrigerators every month, all of which are sold in the US market. As for the profit, Parker said he had no comment, and then smiled mysteriously: "Our business is very good now!"

Nelson Lindsay, director of the Economic Development Office of Kashaw County, where the Haier factory is located, also made a special trip to Go to Haier factory and meet with reporters.
