Jiantiao Port has a unique geographical location and natural conditions. At the end of the last century, Italy tried to force the lease of Sanmen Bay to open a port but failed. In the past century, large-scale development has been planned several times. Mr. Sun Yat-sen called "Sanmen Bay an important port for industry" and included it in the "National Founding Strategy"; overseas Chinese in Nanyang planned to build a model autonomous agricultural reclamation area in Sanmen Bay; Shanghai industrialist Xu Tingzuo wanted to develop the Sanmen Bay commercial port. All due to the difficult current situation, it is difficult to develop our grand plans.

After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in December 1978, the Sanmen County Committee of the Communist Party of China and the County People's Government emancipated their minds and opened the "three gates" (Mountain Gate, Haimen, and City Gate). ), implement "foreign marriage" and actively develop horizontal connections. Prospects

Sanmen County is currently facing good development opportunities. Against the background of national macro-control, Sanmen County has a large number of saltlands, gardens and reclamable tidal flats that comply with national land use policies, and has a very broad space for development. More than 10,000 acres of waste salt fields in Sanmen Salt Field have been built into a coastal industrial city; the county has 180,000 acres of tidal flats, of which nearly 60,000 acres can be reclaimed and developed; 110,000 acres of high-quality garden land, of which 20,000 acres can be developed and utilized in the near future. The "Mountain-Sea Cooperation" and "North-South Cooperation" projects proposed by the provinces and cities provide a rare opportunity for Sanmen to accelerate the transfer of industries from developed areas. Currently, it is the best time for Sanmen to transform its potential resource advantages into actual productivity. The county party committee reviewed the situation and proposed the strategic goal of "developing three ports and building three cities", that is, developing the Huanpu Ba Port economic sector and building a coastal industrial city; developing the Huanjian Jump Harbor economic sector and building the East China Electric Power City; and developing the Huanhai tourist port.
