Speech at the handover ceremony on duty at the annual meeting

Dear Director Lin, Secretary Li, delegates and comrades,

At the beginning of the new year, we gathered together to hold the 27th annual meeting. This is an important meeting. As a member of the joint defense zone, it naturally shoulders the responsibility and sacred mission of contributing to the development of the organization. Our county has always attached great importance to malaria prevention and control work, and carried out the work in strict accordance with the requirements of superiors. The work of duty units in the 20 10 malaria control area in southwest Guangxi will be explained.

Since 1984 established this protection area, under the correct leadership of governments at all levels and through the unremitting efforts of the vast number of malaria prevention and control technicians, outstanding achievements have been made in malaria prevention and control in this protection area. The incidence of malaria in our county decreased from 3.6/ 10,000 to 0.03/ 10,000, and the incidence of malaria in the protected areas also decreased from 24.7/ 10,000 to 0.00/ 10,000, effectively preventing and controlling the malaria epidemic. In the new year, faced with new opportunities and challenges, our county will emancipate its mind, blaze new trails, and do the following work in strict accordance with the requirements of the 20 10 year defense agreement for malaria control in southwest Guangxi:

1. Based on the previous work experience of duty units in the joint defense zone, and according to the requirements of the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, the Interim Measures for Malaria Management of Floating Population, the Emergency Plan for Malaria Outbreak and the Guangxi Malaria Prevention and Control Plan of 2006-2065 438+05, the policy of "prevention first, scientific prevention and control" was implemented.

Second, earnestly perform the duties of the unit on duty:

First of all, our county will further strengthen government functions. Establish a leading group for malaria eradication in the joint defense zone; Adhere to the working mechanism of government leadership at all levels, departmental cooperation and the participation of the whole society; Continue to ensure that malaria prevention and control funds are in place in full and on time.

Second, attach importance to and strengthen health education for the whole people, effectively improve the awareness and ability of self-protection of the whole people, and form a working situation of group prevention and control.

Third, continue to establish a long-term and sustainable joint defense mechanism and operation system, ensure the long-term persistence of joint defense work to eliminate malaria, and build a social environment to protect people's health.

Fourth, continuously improve the level of science and technology and strengthen cooperation and exchanges.

Fifth, collect and master the dynamics of malaria eradication in the joint defense zone in time, and put forward prevention and control countermeasures.

Six, responsible for holding the regular meeting and annual meeting of the work of the defense zone, organizing cross-examination and appraisal, sorting out and compiling the 20 10 malaria elimination data.

In the new year, we will closely focus on the work focus of this defense zone, give full play to the bridge role of the duty unit, unite and cooperate, innovate, do a solid job, do all the work conscientiously and pragmatically, truly implement all the work of malaria prevention and control, ensure the smooth realization of all the work objectives in 20 10, and make new contributions to the sound and rapid development of malaria prevention and control.
