Meaning of engine oil model (specification)

SAE (viscosity): viscosity classification specification stipulated by American Society of Automotive Engineers.

The number before "W" indicates the index of low temperature resistance of engine oil. The smaller this value is, the better the low-temperature fluidity of engine oil is, and the lower the available ambient temperature is, the better the protection ability of the engine during cold start.
