What does the Special Olympics mean?

The full name of the Special Olympics is the Special Olympics.

Special Olympics (English) is an international sports competition, specially held for mentally retarded and inarticulate patients with neurological and mental diseases, even including children and adults who can't take care of themselves.

On the evening of July 25th, 20 15, the14th World Special Olympics officially opened at the Memorial Stadium in Los Angeles.

2019 March 14 at 6: 09 pm, the 5th/kloc-0 World Special Olympics officially opened in Abu Dhabi.

Qualification to participate in the competition

Anyone with mental retardation over the age of 8 who is certified by relevant institutions or doctors as having an IQ below 70 can participate in the Special Olympics after general survey and registration (physically disabled persons without mental retardation are not eligible to participate).

The minimum age limit for participating in Special Olympics events is 8 years old; Children under 8 years old can't take part in the Special Olympics. Special Olympics organizations allow children aged 6 or above to participate in appropriate special Olympics training programs provided by the association or other cultural or social activities specially organized to promote Special Olympics. There is no maximum age limit for participating in the Special Olympics.
