Many famous scholars give lectures in this school, including Ma, Wei, Hu Shi, Tao Xingzhi, Zhang Taiyan, Shen Junru, Huang Yanpei, Meng Xiancheng, Russell (UK) and Dewey (USA).

In the "December 9" Movement, the students of the whole school ignored the "dissuasion" of the inspectors, opened the iron gate, broke through the obstruction of the military and police, and threw themselves into the torrent of the anti-Japanese and national salvation movement. 1932, the underground branch of * * * Youth League was established. 1933, under the launch of the underground league organization, eleven middle schools in seven places in the province joined forces, and the struggle against exams was launched and won.

After many twists and turns, he agreed to join the private Changzhou Middle School for enrollment. School starts on September 1st. Later, in order to take care of the difficulties of students in northern Jiangsu,1February, 939, Xishi Branch was established in Gong Xue, Taixing County. After the Japanese army occupied the concession, the puppet government took over the school, and the teachers and students immediately protested and boycotted. In order to protect students, President Zhou changed his name to "Private Civilized Middle School" in 1942. In this way, the teachers and students of Shanghai University United and persisted in running the school until the victory of the Anti-Japanese War.

1945 10. In October, the Jiangsu provincial government of the Kuomintang sent an official to prepare for the resumption of school in Wuxi. After the tin division was ruined by the Japanese army, it was devastated and desolate. With the support of alumni, 1947 basically resumed in the second half of the year, and students returned to the headquarters one after another. An old teacher from the Third Normal University was hired to teach, and the students studied hard and studied hard. The excellent school spirit since the Third Normal University has been inherited and carried forward.

At that time, the struggle between persecution and anti-persecution was quite fierce. Fu, the military training instructor and spy chief of the Kuomintang, practiced a fascist military management system for the school and engaged in espionage activities. /kloc-in the winter of 0/948, the Kuomintang military police came to the school to arrest patriotic students, and the principal Shi Renfu went to the county police station to rescue them and was detained. On the eve of liberation, the underground organization of the New Democratic Youth League, headed by Gao and Xu, used various forms of struggle such as reading clubs to unite and improve students, protect schools and welcome the liberation of Wuxi.

In the thirty-eight years of old China, Tin Master trained more than 2,600 graduates. Most of them are working hard for education. Some of them were rated as special-grade teachers after liberation, some later became famous scientists, artists and scholars, and some became outstanding cadres after participating in the revolution under the training of the party. Zhou Shuiping, Yang, Wang Jianshan, Huang, Wu Hengtong and other martyrs dedicated themselves to the motherland and the people and wrote a glorious chapter in the history of their alma mater.

1April, 949, Wuxi was liberated and the tin partition entered a new historical period. In May, the Culture and Education Department of Sunan Military Management Committee sent Bai Tao and Dinghan Liu to take over the school. First of all, the fascist management system of the Kuomintang was abolished, and the school affairs Committee was established through democratic elections, with the former principal Shi Renfu as the chairman. 1950 1 month 18, Wuxi normal party branch was formally established, and Zhou was sworn as the first secretary. After liberation, teachers and students of Xishi carried forward the patriotic tradition and devoted themselves to various political movements with great enthusiasm, such as participating in the production self-help movement, actively supporting the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and participating in the Southwest Service Corps and the Land Reform Task Force. A political counseling room was set up, and the general branch of the Communist Youth League was changed to the Youth League Committee: the number of students' classes increased from 2 to 6 parallel classes, with a maximum of 8 parallel classes. In addition, there are speed teacher classes and simple teacher classes. A new library and teaching building, and a dining hall that can accommodate 1000 people at the same time. A large number of teaching instruments and books have been added. Since 1953, the school has resolutely carried out the instruction that "teaching is the central work of the school", carried out the policy of all-round development of morality, intelligence and physique, and improved the teaching quality. 1954 In the four classes that graduated, the number of students enrolled in normal colleges and universities and their grades ranked first in normal schools in southern Jiangsu. Everyone in the graduating class is willing to obey the distribution and contribute to the development of local education.

19561February, Xi Shi's party branch was changed to the general party branch, and Xue Hongchang came to the school as the secretary and vice president of the general party branch. 1958 After being transferred to Wuxi Teachers College in February, 1965, he returned to be the secretary of the General Party Branch, and Zhou, Fan and Tao Qun successively served as the secretary of the General Party Branch. 1July, 957, Liu took over from You Ying as the principal for only half a year, and then Sun Jingchu became the principal until 19621February. 1957, we began to implement the policy of "combining education with productive labor", implemented work-study programs, tightened teachers, reduced teaching hours and shortened the academic system by two years. 1960, in the face of three years of natural disasters, the school implemented the eight-character policy, and the school leaders led the teachers and students to work hard. Ten years after the Cultural Revolution, the normal department stopped enrolling students for three years. Education has successively held the semi-annual "Red Teacher Class", the biennial normal class and four new teacher classes of "workers, peasants and soldiers", and trained more than 1000 teachers, which contributed to alleviating the serious shortage of primary and secondary school teachers in Wuxi at that time.

After the downfall of the Gang of Four, the school quickly returned to normal order. 1June, 978, Xue Hongchang was appointed as Party branch secretary and principal. Schools pay close attention to the implementation of the intellectual policy, which is almost unfair, false and wrong. The company system established during the Cultural Revolution was abolished, the teaching and research group was restored, and the teachers in the normal department and the middle school department were adjusted, and the focus of work was transferred to the normal department. 1978, the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Party was held, and the country entered a new era of reform and opening up. According to the spirit of Comrade Deng Xiaoping's "Three Orientations" and on the basis of comprehensive investigation, the school has formulated the implementation plan of teaching reform, introduced a number of backbone teachers, and clearly put forward that through the reform, "Wuxi Normal University will become a national first-class normal school with high teachers' level, high management efficiency and good graduates".

1September, 985, Comrade Xue Hongchang, who was in charge of the Tin Mining Division for nearly 30 years, retired and was replaced by Comrade Fan Jinxian. 1986, Comrade Gao Guoqiang was appointed Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch of our school and presided over the party affairs. From 1996 to 1997, the school built a new science and technology building and a kindergarten teacher training center building, rebuilt and built existing buildings such as libraries, gymnasiums and teaching buildings, and equipped the science and technology building with modern educational facilities such as studios. At the end of 1997, the school successfully passed the standardized acceptance of school-running conditions of provincial normal schools with excellent results and became a demonstration school of educational modernization project in Wuxi.

In May, 2005, the school became Wuxi Branch of Jiangsu Institute of Education and changed its name to Wuxi Higher Normal School, which achieved a leap-forward development.
