Is the Tianan Bridge of any special significance?

The most striking feature of the two bridge heads of Tianan Bridge is that four giant sculptures will be placed. These sculptures are made of copper and then covered with gold foil. They are 6 meters high, 8 meters long and 5.5 meters wide. Although they are hollow, each sculpture and its base weigh 25 tons. According to reports, such a large number of sculptures are rare in Chinese bridge decoration sculptures.

Manager Xiong of Jiangxi Tongqing Metal Co., Ltd., who is in charge of transportation, introduced that these four sculptures were transported twice by big trucks. From Nanchang, Jiangxi to Quanzhou, it takes two or three days to take the expressway. Each sculpture was divided into eight pieces, but the base with a width of more than 5 meters was still difficult for the driver. When crossing the toll booth, you must apply for an extra-wide pass. When you got off the truck, you invited a crane with a load of 130 tons to help you. It takes a week to assemble these sculptures on sunny days.

Professor Liu Yi, the creator of the sculpture and master tutor of Xiamen Arts and Crafts College of Fuzhou University, said that the four sculptures took three years from planning to creation, which means "good weather".
