On the occasion of the second1popularization, on September 14, Yingmin Primary School in hua county industrial cluster area launched a unique "woodpecker" activity. All members of the former Young Pioneers Brigade Committee led some young pioneers to the streets to investigate the standardization of Chinese characters and carry out street character correction activities.

The school divided the student group into two "woodpecker teams" and went to Guangfu Road and Yingmin Road respectively.

The reason is that many shopkeepers have the psychology of taking traditional Chinese characters as beauty.

The second team is led by Xu Haibin, deputy director of the Student Development Office, and Hu Jiangning, deputy director. The enthusiasm of the players is no less than that of the first team The team members searched everywhere in the middle section of Yingmin Road carpet, and also found some typos in the advertisement, such as writing "password decoding processing" as "password decoding processing". In front of a car wash shop, students found that the billboard said "car wash and wax" was "car wash and wax". On some propaganda slogans, "strike hard" is written as "strike hard" and "causing endless harm" is written as "almost endless harm" ... These irregular words have caused great pollution to the streets.

Through this "Woodpecker Action", students have gained a lot, not only "eliminated" some nonstandard words, but also beautified the street environment and campus environment, and improved their comprehensive oral communication ability.
