What are the functions of trade unions? This means that trade unions should give full play to workers' participation and discussion of state affairs.

1. Maintenance function: the function of safeguarding workers' economic interests and democratic rights and interests.

2. Construction function: attract and organize employees to participate in economic construction and reform, and strive to complete the tasks and functions of economic and social development.

3. Participation function: give full play to the role of employees in the management of state and social affairs, and represent and organize employees to participate in the management of state and social affairs.

4. Educational function: the function of helping workers to continuously improve their ideological and political awareness and cultural quality.

Main responsibilities:

(a) according to the party's basic theory, basic line, basic program and labor movement policy, around the overall situation of the work of the party and the state, implement the principles, tasks and resolutions determined by the National Congress of China's trade unions and the executive committee meeting.

(two) to organize and guide trade unions at all levels to unswervingly implement the party's fundamental policy of relying on the working class wholeheartedly, and to further highlight and perform their maintenance functions in accordance with the law and the Constitution of China Trade Union.

(three) to investigate and study major issues involving the rights and interests of employees, reflect the thoughts, wishes and demands of employees to the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, and put forward opinions and suggestions; Participate in the formulation of policies, measures, balance and integrity system and draft laws and regulations involving the immediate interests of employees; Participate in the investigation and handling of major employee casualty accidents.
