Yue lives in Mingshui Village at the foot of Malingguan Mountain, 2.5 kilometers away from Malingguan Great Wall. Walking on the nearly 600-year-old Malingguan ancient road, Yue said that he walked back and forth at least once a day.

Malingguan is located in Taihang Mountain in the west of Xingtai City, Hebei Province. It is an important pass on the northern border of China since Qin and Han Dynasties.
