1, latitude and longitude: the loess plateau is a piece, not a point, so it is difficult to use precision. Let's talk about the region first.

It is west of Taihang Mountain, south of the ancient Great Wall, east of Wushaoling and north of Qinling Mountain.

If you want latitude and longitude, the approximate position is 32-4 1 north latitude and 0/07-14 east longitude.

2. Climate: It basically belongs to temperate monsoon climate (so there are many rainstorms in summer), and a small part may be temperate continental climate.

3. Natural environment: not very good

Thousands of years ago, it was a forest (the coal in Shanxi proved to be a forest earlier, but after a long period of human destruction, the environment here can be said to be quite fragile.

At present, the surface vegetation here is scarce or occupied by cultivated land (less than one tenth of the cultivated land is in a relatively flat place, resulting in serious soil erosion). The terrain is rugged, criss-crossing and steep in some places, and there are also relatively flat platforms. Because of water erosion, there are various landforms.

Generally speaking, the natural environment of the Loess Plateau is not good and the situation is grim. Fortunately, we have begun to control it here, with little effect.

Transportation: Generally speaking, some places are good (such as Fenshui Valley), but some areas have underdeveloped transportation.

Xi, Taiyuan and Baoji are railway hubs.

Water transport: It is difficult to transport water from the Yellow River here.
