In my previous article, I wrote about the preparation work the day before I went to do the gastroscope, and I also said that I did the gastroscope only because my husband forced me to do it, and I also agreed to do it for my husband's sake. Well, today, let's talk about the follow-up of my gastrointestinal endoscopy.

I was still a little nervous when I was waiting for the check-up that day, mainly because I didn't know if it would hurt or be uncomfortable. Although my husband didn't feel anything when he finished speaking, I was still a little worried because people were different.

After I entered the examination room, the nurse gave me fluid, and then the anesthesiologist asked me about my height and weight, which should be convenient for calculating the dosage of anesthetic. Everything was ready. The nurse put on an oxygen mask and told me to inhale through my mouth. Then I felt the anesthesiologist push the anesthetic into my vein. At first, my consciousness was quite clear. I always told the doctor that if anything can be handled, I must dispose of it by the way. The doctor promised, and then kept letting me breathe in. I didn't know anything after two breaths. I feel that I had a dream, a vague dream, which I can't remember clearly, but I feel very relaxed. When I woke up for the first time, I felt like I was waking up after a sleep. I opened my eyes and could actually see my red intestinal cavity on the display screen. Then I heard the doctor say that I had to pay for registration, but I fell asleep again in a short time.

"wake up, don't sleep." when I was woken up, the examination was over, and I was pushed out of the examination room to the observation area. The nurse told me that I found a .8cm polyp in my colon, which had been clipped off, but because it was a little big, I needed to be hospitalized for one day. I was a little surprised to hear this result, because I always thought I was in good health and the physical examination results showed that there were no problems in all indicators, so I was a little resistant when my husband asked me to have an examination, but now I am really glad that I did this examination in time.

after a while, my husband came to pick me up and said that he had helped me with the hospitalization procedures and would stay here for one day. Then he said, "Look, it's a good thing to have this check-up. Otherwise, a health hazard will always be in your body. I don't know when it will break out, and it will be too late when it breaks out."

That's true. All kinds of media have been telling you that after a certain age, you must have a gastrointestinal endoscopy every few years. You can't ignore this examination just because you feel good about yourself and have no symptoms. Just like me, I don't have any symptoms at all, but there are still problems with the examination. Therefore, it is very helpful for our health to warn everyone to do relevant inspections in time and remove potential dangers.
