Is it important to pass the piano exam?

? I believe that every piano boy's parents will consider this issue. There are two piano boys in my family. My sister learned piano when she was five and a half years old. At the age of nine and a half, she successfully passed the Grade Nine Piano Examination of the Central Conservatory of Music. My brother began to learn piano at the age of six and a half. He studied for a year and a half and hasn't taken the exam yet. Over the past six years, I have been thinking about the problem of graded examination, and my point of view has also changed, from the initial disapproval to the present "graded examination is not an end, but a means."

4, utilitarian perspective, the role of certificates

In recent years, with the acceleration of education reform, the proportion of junior high school special students is getting smaller and smaller. The road to further study through musical instruments is blocked. Learning and practicing the piano is replaced by other "useful" studies. In my opinion, utilitarianism is not bad, depending on whether the focus is short-term merit or long-term merit. Although there are no special students in middle schools, many universities will recruit a certain proportion of special students. It can be said that there is no impact now, but it does not mean that there will be no impact in the future. As long as you have certain attainments and lasting interests in a certain field, you will certainly help those who have it shine and realize the unique value of life. But the acquisition of many skills has a golden age. Grasping the golden age can reduce many regrets.
