The Monkey King died long ago, and it was Liu Er's macaque who learned the scriptures. Is it true?/You don't say.
There is a brain hole here. Could it be true or false? Among the Monkey Kings, the Monkey King was actually Liu Er, a macaque who accompanied Tang Priest to learn Buddhist scriptures.
If it's really Liu Er's macaque, what's his purpose?
Liu Er's macaque is different from the Monkey King. The Monkey King was forced to learn from the scriptures. He needs a stunt to get out from the foot of Wuxing Mountain.
It is entirely voluntary for Liu Er's macaque to learn from the scriptures, because he has a reason to learn from them. He needs to become a Buddha, and only by becoming a Buddha can he meet his identity. This is his only way out. The identity of Liu Er's macaque will be introduced later.
The statement that Tang Priest is accompanied by a Liu Er macaque is by no means groundless. At least two things can prove that it was the Monkey King who died. First, since the true and false Monkey King incident, the Monkey King's personality has undergone subtle changes.
Second, the whole story of the true and false Monkey King is seamless, as if it were a script already written.
Let's talk about the first point. The Monkey King was driven away by the Tang Priest three times.
The Monkey King was expelled for the fourteenth time for the first time. As soon as the Tang Priest surrendered to the Monkey King, the Monkey King killed several robbers, and then the Monkey King was driven back to Huaguoshan by the Tang Priest.
The Monkey King was expelled for the 27th time and the second time. This time he met Bai in Baihuling, and was later driven away by Tang Priest.
The fifty-sixth back to the Monkey King was driven away for the third time. Similar to the first time, the Monkey King killed several robbers and was driven away by the Tang Priest.
The the Monkey King incident was triggered for the last time. Since then, the Monkey King has never been driven away by the Tang Priest. Is the Monkey King sensible, or is there another reason?
Because at this time, it was not the Monkey King who broke the rules, but Liu Er macaque who had been strictly disciplined.
When the Monkey King was driven away for the third time, Liu Er's macaque took the opportunity to change into the Monkey King's appearance, snatched the luggage and customs clearance documents, and turned the little demon into Tang Priest, Bajie and Friar Sand, hoping to cheat the scriptures in the Western Heaven.
Liu Er's macaque should have thought of the Tathagata cheating the scriptures. There is a big problem here. It is impossible for Liu Er's macaque to escape the Tathagata's eyes. Even if he can fool the Tathagata, the Tang Priest and others he conjured up can also fool the Tathagata.
If Liu Er's macaque was so simple, the Monkey King wouldn't want to cry, dragging so many relationships without solving Liu Er's macaque.
Liu Er, a macaque, doesn't want to take Xiao Yao to the Western Heaven for Buddhist scriptures. This is just a cover-up. His real idea is to replace the Monkey King.
From the appearance of Liu Er's macaque and his contest with the Monkey King, we can see that Liu Er's macaque had planned it long ago, instead of improvising.
The Monkey King's three unique skills: critical eye, seventy-two changes and somersault cloud, are also owned by Liu Er's macaque. The Monkey King's critical eye was refined in the gossip furnace of the old gentleman in Taishang. The fire in the gossip furnace is "six cauldrons of divine fire", which is even more earth-shattering than Hon Hai's "Samadhi True Fire".
Hong Haier only practiced in the Flame Mountain for 300 years, and it became a real fire of samadhi. The six divine fires of Taishang Laojun have produced countless magic weapons and elixirs, including Ruyi Golden Hoop and Nine-toothed Rake, all from Taishang Laojun's hands, and it is clear at a glance which is higher or lower.
If Liu Er's macaque can also get golden eye, how did he get it? Which means there must be someone behind him to help him.
The Monkey King's somersault cloud and seventy-two changes were all learned from Bodhi. Where did Liu Er's two stunts come from?
Bodhi has taught a the Monkey King, expelled him from his old school, and will never teach a second "the Monkey King"-Liu Er Macaque.
Therefore, the owner of Liu Er's macaque must be someone else and should be as good as Bodhi's ancestor. There are only a handful of immortals in Journey to the West who meet this design.
But there is not much introduction in the book, just according to the details in the book, aiming at the Tathagata, but everything is just speculation.
However, there is an important clue in the Romance of Gods, which can strongly prove that the owner of Liu Er's macaque is the Tathagata.
There are many apprentices in the Romance of the Gods, and his two most proud apprentices are the Taoist priest and the quasi-Taoist priest.
There is a folk saying that the Taoist priest in The Romance of Gods is the Tathagata Buddha in The Journey to the West, and the Taoist priest is the founder of Bodhi, which means that the Tathagata Buddha and the founder of Bodhi are brothers, so they know almost the same spells, which explains why Liu Er's macaque is neck and neck with the Monkey King.
Quasi-Taoist priests are the founders of Bodhi because the descriptions of their appearance in the two books are almost identical.
Bodhi founder's debut poem:
I feel that Jin Xian is not polluted, and the West is the wonderful ancestor of Bodhi. If you don't die or live three or three lines, you will be full of goodwill. Emptiness changes with it, just like nature. The same fate as heaven, solemnity, exorcist, and bright heart have been robbed.
Proposed Taoist appearance poem:
When Jin Xian was second to none, the western magic method was Bodhi. If you don't die or live three or three lines, you will be full of goodwill. Emptiness changes with it, just like nature. The same fate as heaven, solemnity, exorcist, and bright heart have been robbed.
There are only four words in their poems, which also implies that the Bodhi founder and Taoist Zhunti are actually the same person.
The description of Tathagata and Taoist is exactly the same.
Tathagata Buddha's appearance poem:
Daxian's barefoot dates and pears are fragrant, and his dedication to Tommy is long-lasting. The seven treasures of Lianhua Mountain are as stable as others, and the golden flowers are as beautiful as brocade. Life with heaven and earth is not absurd, and Fu is crazier than Hongbo. Happy life as scheduled, leisurely and comfortable in the west.
Meet the Taoist face poem:
Daxian's barefoot dates and pears are fragrant, and it is even more unusual to step on Xiangyun. Twelve lotus stands play a magic weapon, and the edge of Bade pool is white. Life is positive with heaven and earth, and happiness is crazy with Hongbo. This is the name of a relic cultivated in the west.
It shows that the guide is probably the Tathagata, which makes the Tathagata and Bodhi's father become brothers, so it is reasonable that Liu Er's macaque and the Monkey King are exactly the same in kung fu and magic.
If they are brothers and sisters, why did Tathagata come up with a monkey named Liu Er?
The Romance of the Gods mentioned that the Taoist Zhunti suddenly disappeared, and then there was no news. Some people point out that it is because of the contradiction between Taoist quasi-mention and Taoist abstinence.
In this way, it is reasonable for Tathagata to take out 62 macaques against the Monkey King. And the Monkey King is a stone monkey, born bohemian and loves freedom, which is out of control. However, Liu Er's macaque has a lot of rules after being trained by Tathagata, so it is reasonable to change him from public to private.
Look at what happened when Liu Er's macaque competed with the Monkey King. Tang Priest, Guanyin Bodhisattva, Dragon King of the East China Sea, Jade Emperor, Rebecca and others can't tell the truth. The mount of the Bodhisattva Diksitigarbha did tell the truth, but I dare not say that I am not afraid that telling the truth will make a scene in the underworld, because there is the Bodhisattva Diksitigarbha in the underworld, and with the real Wukong, the two of them are enough to subdue Liu Er's macaques.
Who is the Tibetan King and Bodhisattva? The first of the four great bodhisattvas is as famous as Guanyin Bodhisattva, Manjusri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva.
Earth treasure bodhisattva must have the ability to deal with Liu Er macaques, so why dare not say so?
Because I am afraid of the man behind Liu Er's monkey, I can see that Liu Er's monkey dares to do this because he has a strong background.
Let's talk about what happened after they left the underworld to worship Buddha in the West. The Buddha can tell at a glance which is the Monkey King and which is Liu Er's macaque.
There is a Tathagata in the book that introduces Liu Er's macaque:
If this monkey stands in one place, it can know things thousands of miles away, and so can ordinary people. Therefore, I am good at listening, observing reason, and knowing the past and the future. Liu Er's macaque is also a homonym of the real Wukong.
"I can understand, knowing before and feeling after, everything is clear!" If Liu Er's macaque really has this ability and knows what happened later, he will definitely not pretend to be the Monkey King to cheat the scriptures, so there is only one explanation.
After Tathagata helped the Monkey King subdue Liu Er's macaque, the Monkey King killed Liu Er's macaque before Tathagata spoke. It was very unreasonable for Tathagata to even stop him.
As I have said before, the Monkey King can't escape from the Five Fingers Mountain of the Tathagata, which means that the Monkey King has been held hostage by the Tathagata, which can be said to be playing.
It's too easy to save the life of Liu Er's macaque with the Tathagata's ability, but this time he failed to protect Liu Er's macaque and let the Monkey King kill it, which obviously doesn't conform to the image of Tathagata knowing everything.
Moreover, it seems unreasonable for the Monkey King to kill in front of Buddha and Bodhisattva in the West.
The only explanation is the script written before to kill "Liu Er Macaque", and everything is just a play. The purpose of this play is to get rid of the Monkey King and let Liu Er's macaque take his place.
There is a saying in Journey to the West that all monsters with backgrounds have been saved, but the Monkey King only killed monsters scattered around the world.
It doesn't make sense that Liu Er's macaque can cause such a big thing without a background, so it also means that the Monkey King was actually killed. Tathagata just pretended to stop it and showed it to others present. It doesn't matter how many people you can fool, but it's reasonable.
See the seventy-four times that Tang Priest and his party came to Lion Tuoling. This time, the Monkey King turned to the Tathagata for help. It seems that someone killed the chicken with a knife, just because Dapeng bird is related to Tathagata. At this time, the Monkey King came to ask the Tathagata for instructions on how to deal with the Dapeng demon. There are many descriptions of Dapeng demon in the book that are not as good as the Monkey King's:
I'm afraid one of his disciples, Monkey Sun, is very interested, so it's hard for me to be alone. I'm here as brothers with the two kings, bent on catching the Tang Priest.
"Afraid of him?" The third monster asked. We all went to see it. "Three demons, each armed, rushed to the city. When you meet Monkey Brother, don't talk, raise your weapon and stab together. Monkey greeted him with an iron bar in his hand. After seven or eight rounds, Monkey pretended to lose and left.
So the Monkey King's original intention was not to ask Tathagata for help, but to ask Tathagata how to deal with Dapeng.
Look at the Tathagata's disposal of Dapeng:
The Tathagata said, "Go down first and go into the city to fight evil spirits. You may lose, but you may not win. If I lose, I will accept him. "
When the Buddha raised his hand, the devil's wings became stiff. I can't fly, but I can't escape from the Buddha. Now I am a Dapeng golden wing sculpture, and I open my mouth and cry to the Buddha: "Tathagata, how can you trap me with a big demon?" The Tathagata said, "You have many evil obstacles. Come with me. It will be beneficial. " The demon said, "You are a vegetarian, and you are extremely poor. I eat human flesh here and get endless benefits! If you starve me, you are guilty. " Buddha said, "I am in charge of four continents, and countless beings are watching." I will teach him to sacrifice your mouth first. "
As you can see, Tathagata let the Monkey King cheat, for fear that the Monkey King would kill Dapeng by mistake. The dialogue behind him was obviously for Dapeng, and this time the Monkey King didn't embarrass Dapeng in front of Tathagata, indicating that the Monkey King was not good, but the Monkey King was replaced.
So, it was the Monkey King who was killed in the Western Heaven, and it was actually Liu Er's macaque who followed Tang Priest to the Western Heaven to learn Buddhist scriptures.
