Full sharing: 6336 words verbatim draft prepared for 15 minutes of sharing

A friend invited me to share about career planning at an event held by their incubator yesterday, which lasted only 15 minutes.

15 minutes is very short. Facing an audience with no basic knowledge, I can only talk about the rough content, which is difficult to leave a deep impression. Secondly, the sharing time is close to the second half of the event, and everyone’s energy is definitely not there. If you are so concentrated, you are probably just waiting for time to pass.

So how to organize content is the key to sharing.

So I asked the organizer for the event schedule. Knowing that this was a road show for entrepreneurial projects in the film and television industry, when designing the outline, I added the film and entrepreneurial parts. The specific presentation method is :

1. Use familiar movies to introduce some concepts of career planning, such as vision and talent

2. Analyze the relationship between entrepreneurship and career: Is entrepreneurship a career? ? Would you choose to start a business or get a job?

Then the purpose of the entire sharing is refined:

1. To give everyone a more comprehensive understanding of the concept of career planning

2. Provide enough interaction to attract everyone's attention and maintain the atmosphere

3. Let everyone remember me and have a better understanding of my experience and work

Later it proved that this All these considerations were correct.

When I went on stage, the audience was in a state of low spirits. Then I used the designed storytelling and questioning parts to arouse their emotions, such as: How many are there? Do you know the concept of "career planning"? How many people have worked in the same position for more than three years? Does anyone know how many professions there are in the world?

Slowly, I saw the guests and the audience began to nod frequently, then took out their mobile phones and started taking pictures. By the end of the sharing, I had received more than 20 WeChat friend requests, and the guests next to me excitedly Tell me: Your sharing is great and meaningful.

The screenwriter sitting in front also turned back to me and said: It made me feel like I should make a career plan.

Okay, bingo, just be serious!

In addition to designing the outline, in order to ensure the smooth progress of sharing, I also wrote a verbatim draft.

This is a new term I learned recently. It is said that all teachers at New Oriental are required to write verbatim manuscripts when they first start teaching. Write it out.

Then memorize it, practice it continuously, make it your own, and form automatic output.

When I answer questions separately, I will first write down the response and then read it out to avoid making mistakes. After repeated recording tests, statistics show that at the fastest speaking speed, you can speak 361 words in one minute (WORD statistics, excluding punctuation, there should be about 340 words).

By analogy, slow down your speaking speed and calculate it to about half, 200 words per minute, which is 3,000 words in 15 minutes.

I estimate that I will have to prepare such a long manuscript.

Then I filled in the content bit by bit according to the outline, including the progressive levels of questions, questions when telling stories, etc. I spoke and wrote while simulating the situation of sharing on the stage. , to complete the manuscript.

When I finished writing, I found that I had written 6,336 words (excluding punctuation, let’s call it 6,000 words).

I speak quickly. Although I am worried about being nervous on stage, with my understanding of myself, I know that it is unlikely that I will be speechless. It is normal to forget part of it. The prepared content needs to be sufficient and can be called at any time. There will be no running out of things to say, and that’s it.

So, I didn’t delete anything and just started memorizing the manuscript.

My memory is terrible. The so-called memorization actually means repeatedly sorting out and confirming ideas. I save PPT and WORD documents on my mobile phone and read them while catching the train or taking the subway.

I originally wanted to go further and record a video to see the effect, but due to the many things in the past two days, it was delayed and the recording was not completed. Must improve next time.

Facts have proved that it is absolutely correct to prepare enough. In the final sharing, I may only have used two-thirds of it, but the whole is complete and rich.

I later thought that when doing something, if you want to do it well and put in 100% effort, you may lose 30% of the effect due to mistakes, and the final effect will be only 70%.

And if you put in 200 efforts, even if you lose 30, you will be left with 140 in the end. It will still exceed your expectations.

Seeing the value of something, confirming its importance, not making low-level efforts, using a serious attitude, working hard, and making efforts beyond yourself, this is the best state.

After I came back in the evening, I reflected and summarized. I have the advantages and disadvantages:

1. When telling the story, try to be more concise than the manuscript, leaving some time for the later part.

2. The PPT was not checked in advance, resulting in some text misalignment during the screening.

3. I was afraid that I would forget the words, so I saved the manuscript in my mobile phone and brought it to the stage so that I could read it when I wanted to forget. The result was redundant and a bit inconvenient.

4. There is still a bit too much content. This sharing content is suitable for about 30 minutes, which makes the final summary a bit thin.

In the afternoon, a consultant friend from out of town saw the photo in my circle of friends and asked me for an outline, so I decided to share the PPT and verbatim draft publicly. It’s the article that was just published.

In fact, the content is very simple, just sharing some of my own experiences. I hope it will be helpful to your design sharing.
