Yuanling county scenic spot

Yuanling Tourist Scenic Area is located in the northwest of Hunan, where Wuling meets Xuefeng and enjoys the Yuanshui River, with an area of 2 10 square kilometers. The scenic spots are criss-crossed with ravines, steep cliffs, strange peaks and rocks, which pierce the sky directly, forming many rare peak forests. The construction of Wuqiangxi Power Station has formed a huge high gorge Pinghu-Wuxi Lake. Wuxi Lake is a combination of lakes and mountains, inlaid with ancient temples, cottages, tea gardens and other long-lost cultural landscapes, forming a unique tourist landscape, especially Youer, Phoenix Mountain, Hezhou Mountain, Hutou Mountain and Kuafu. Phoenix Mountain National Forest Park is located on the south bank of Shui Yuan, Yuanling County, with an altitude of 200 meters. The mountains are strange and the scenery is beautiful. It borders Shui Yuan in the north, and there are sharp stone walls in all directions, east, west, north and south, which connect the undulating peaks and look like a phoenix spreading its wings, hence the name Phoenix Mountain. The phoenix temple on the mountain was built in the Ming Dynasty, which consists of the Buddha Hall, Songzi Hall, Tomi Pavilion, Kannonji, Jade Emperor Building and other buildings. It is a cultural relic protection unit in Hunan Province.

1938, the patriotic general Zhang Xueliang was placed under house arrest by Chiang Kai-shek in the ancient temple of Fenghuang Mountain in Yuanling for one year, which made it famous at home and abroad. In 2004, it was rated as a 3A-level tourist attraction by the state. The site of the ancient city of Qianzhong County is located in Yaotou Village, 20 miles west of Yuanling County. According to archaeological findings, the site of the ancient city covers an area of 1 10000 square meters, and a large number of weapons such as Qin bricks, Han tiles, bowls, beans, pots and pans, bronze swords and bronze arrow clusters have been unearthed one after another.

It has been found that there are more than 40 giant tombs from the Warring States to the Han Dynasty on the top of the hill in the southeast of the ruins of the ancient city in central Guizhou. Each tomb is a mountain, more than half of the Mawangdui Han Tomb in Changsha, and the largest tomb area is equivalent to five times that of Mawangdui Han Tomb.

In addition, there are more than 1000 civilian tombs during the Warring States and Han Dynasties. Long Yin Tower

Long Yin Tower, located in Donghe County, Zhangzhou City, is named after hearing the sound of water beside the state like a dragon. With a height of 42 meters, it is the highest and best-preserved stone pagoda in Hunan Province. 1 month 1996 is listed as a key cultural relics protection unit in Hunan province. Long Yin Tower was built in the Ming Dynasty, and a seven-level pagoda was built in the 29th year of Daoguang. Long Yin Pagoda not only combines the architectural styles of Ming and Qing Dynasties, but also incorporates the local characteristics of Xiangxi, forming a unique architectural style.

Fengming Tower

Feng Ming Building is located on the south bank of Yuanshui River in the east of the city. The incense burner tower is placed on an octagonal platform, with a height of 25 meters and a bottom diameter of 4 meters. It has seven floors and extends in all directions. The eaves are covered with tiles, dripping hooks under the eaves, and decorated with gourd tripod with mud ash, and the eaves are slightly upturned. The ground floor is just south of the circular arch, with the banner of "Feng Ming Tower" embedded in the door.

Open road tower

Minglu Tower is located at the top of Chang 'an Mountain on the north bank of Yuanshui River, and its construction date is unknown. Legend has it that there is a wild deer with a wild flower in its mouth, which often sings in the mountains, so it is said that "wild deer contains flowers", hence the name Minglu Tower. In the 29th year of Daoguang, the inscription reads: "With the remaining money from the construction of Long Yin Tower, the Minglu Tower will be built into seven grades". The Records of Yuanling County, Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty, recorded: "The Ming Road Tower, with seven grades, is half-broken, and it has been built and collapsed repeatedly."
