What kind of fishing line do beginners choose for reed bud fishing?

At present, there are three kinds of fishing lines commonly used in Luya, namely PE line, nylon line and carbon line. The three lines are very different, and the actual fishing scene is different. Next, I will talk about their differences in detail.

1.PE line

PE line, commonly known as wiring, is a fishing line made of multi-strand chemical fiber and dipped in glue. It is also the most widely used fishing line in China at present. Its main advantages are large tension, small diameter and light weight. These advantages make it very easy to throw bait and not easy to be affected by the wind.

And it is very wear-resistant, so there is basically no need to worry about the wear of the silk cup in normal fishing. But the pe line has great advantages and disadvantages. That is, it has no ductility, also called elasticity, so its sensitivity will be high, but at the same time, because there is no buffer, it is easy to hook the fish mouth or cause the hook to fall off, leading to fish running.

2. Nylon thread

Nylon line is a fishing line made of nylon. Nylon is an accessory product under the petroleum industry chain, and its refining technology is very mature, so the price is the cheapest among these lines, only about110 of pe line. It has a smooth appearance, low friction and will not wear the guide ring. At the same time, it has good ductility and high elasticity, and the fish is not easy to break away from the hook after stabbing.

But its shortcomings are also obvious. Under the same tension, its wire diameter is about 2~3 times that of pe wire. This will lead to the increase of wind resistance during throwing and affect the throwing distance. Because of its high ductility, its sensitivity is slow, and it often misses the best opportunity for stickleback. Moreover, the stickleback fish needs very hard and the range is very large.

3. Carbon filament

Carbon filaments are made of polymer materials containing fluorine and carbon molecules. It has high wear resistance and good strength, but its disadvantage is that it is difficult to roll into a fishing boat. Generally used as a branch line together with pe line.

How to choose? Knowing the difference between the three threads, we can easily make a choice. Nylon yarn has high ductility and good elasticity, but poor sensitivity. We can usually use it to catch big bite fish, such as perch and snakehead.

Because pe line has good sensitivity and high strength, I generally recommend using it with carbon line, which is suitable for fishing any species.

In addition to the types of wires, their tension is also a point we should consider. General line numbers can be divided into many models, such as 0.4, 0.6, 1, 1.2 and so on. Different manufacturers will have different specific parameters. Personal advice can look at the tension value of the line.

For example, a fishing line of 2~ 10LB is suitable for fishing fish under 2KG, such as white stripes, red eyes and carp. One line 10~20Lb can catch 2~ 10KG of fish, such as catfish, snakehead and perch. But these are not static, and with the unloading force of the pole and fishing boat, we can actually achieve the effect of catching big fish with small pole and small line.

Therefore, when we are beginners, I personally suggest using a spinning wheel with 0.6~0.8 pe thread, which will be more widely used.
