Hello! I am a student from Class 3 (1) of primary school in xx town, xx city. The topic of my speech is "Hometown, I cheer for you".

My hometown is in xx Town, the northwest border of xx City, which is a typical land of plenty. According to legend, xx was originally just a water outlet from the Grain Lake to the Han River. People built a bridge on the water outlet with white stone and named it Baishiqiao. In the early years of the Qing Dynasty, when people were cleaning the silt under the white stone bridge, they found a pair of surprisingly large crucian carp in the seam of the cornerstone, and they were all said to be the king of crucian carp. Since he is the fish king, of course, he can't cook Chinese food on the plate, so he quickly released it and renamed Baishiqiao xx. Later, people took the meaning from "accumulating gold and accumulating jade" and changed "crucian mouth" to "xx" which is homophonic with it, so the place name of xx was handed down. This magical legend reflects that the people in their hometown have given infinite hope to the land on which they live!

My hometown is not as busy as Shanghai and bustling as Wuhan, but this does not affect my love for my hometown, because my hometown has beautiful scenery and outstanding people.
