Hong Kong One Day Tour
Hong Kong is an extremely prosperous international metropolis with a profound background of integration of Chinese and Western cultures. There are many amusement and entertainment venues and tourist attractions. It is also the world's top shopping mall and luxury base. Here’s your guide to a day trip to Hong Kong.
When traveling to Hong Kong, our visa can only stay for seven days. However, it is now much more convenient to apply for Hong Kong travel passes and endorsements, and to enter and exit Hong Kong than before. Generally speaking, visas are for multiple entries. In this way, after we stay in Hong Kong for 7 days, if we transfer back to Hong Kong from Zhuhai or Shenzhen, we will have a 15-day trip. The 15-day trip to Hong Kong has already made a lot of money for friends who are new to Hong Kong.
Friends who first started traveling to Hong Kong mainly went to the shopping paradise. With the development of the mainland and the abundance of material resources, shopping in Hong Kong has become less and less popular. So what is good to go shopping in Hong Kong? Generally speaking, my first time traveling to Hong Kong. If I had to name ten scenic spots, the order should be: Victoria Peak, Victoria Harbor Night View, Magic Light Show, Four Nostalgic Cars, Ocean Park, Disneyland, Convention and Exhibition Center, Tsim Sha Tsui, Lantau Giant Buddha, and Tai O Fishing Village. Of course, don’t forget about shopping and delicious food. If you want to explore Hong Kong in depth, the outlying islands and the eight major hiking routes on Hong Kong Island are also very charming.
Let me talk about some suggestions for arranging Hong Kong travel according to time periods.
If you are in Hong Kong one day, you may wish to consider our following suggestions. Although Hong Kong is not big, it still has many classics, so a one-day trip will not be easy. Remember to wear a pair of comfortable shoes before traveling, and don’t forget to bring your camera or mobile phone with power bank. The weather in Hong Kong is unpredictable. Remember to bring a retractable umbrella to protect you from rain and sun on sunny days. If you live in Kowloon, such as Tsim Sha Tsui, Hung Hom, and Mong Kok, we recommend you take the Star Ferry on Victoria Harbor in Tsim Sha Tsui. The Star Ferry is one of Hong Kong's most famous icons. You can take the Star Ferry to Central or Wan Chai. The entrance to the Star Ferry Pier in Tsim Sha Tsui is right next to the Hong Kong Tourism Board Visitor Information Center. It takes about 8 to 10 minutes to get to Central. You can take a look at Hong Kong's most famous Victoria Harbor and browse the landmark buildings on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, such as the Convention and Exhibition Center, Bank of China Tower, HSBC Tower, One Two International Financial Center, Clock Tower, etc. After getting off the ferry at the Central Ferry Pier, you can take the bus to the top of Victoria Peak in front of the 15c bus stop diagonally opposite. If you have plenty of time, it is recommended to walk so that you can better appreciate Hong Kong’s dense forest-like skyscrapers. Walk to the Peak Tram Garden Road terminus, then take the Peak Tram to Victoria Peak.
Central Pier Star Ferry:
If you live on Hong Kong Island, you can directly take another sign of Hong Kong and take the Ding Kei Yuan tram to near Garden Road. The Ding Kei Yuan tram is the cheapest way to get around Hong Kong, so you can spend half a day on Hong Kong Island.
The Ding tram will pass through some of the most popular areas in Hong Kong, such as Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, Admiralty, Central, etc. It is very enjoyable to drive around these famous areas of Hong Kong. Note that the entrance to the tram is at the back door. You don't have to pay when you get on the bus. You can insert coins or swipe your Octopus card when you get off the bus. Please remember to have change ready as there is no change on the tram.
The peak of Victoria Peak is very famous, and everyone who travels to Hong Kong knows it. It is Hong Kong's first must-see attraction. The Peak Tram journey takes about seven minutes. Don't forget to sit on the right side when climbing the mountain so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery at the bottom of the mountain. When you reach the top of the mountain, you can climb up to the skyscraper of the Peak Tower, Hong Kong Island's tallest attraction, and overlook Hong Kong Island and Victoria Harbour. Below the Peak Tower is the Peak Plaza, where there are many restaurants. If you are tired of shopping, you can go to the shop on the top of the mountain to look for souvenirs.
Generally, when returning from the top of the mountain, you also take the Peak Tram down, so the ticket price will be cheaper. If you buy a one-way ticket, you can also take the bus when you come back. The bus terminal is also near the square. Let's go back to Ce's International Financial Center
Take the Star Ferry from Wan Chai Pier to Tsim Sha Tsui Pier. To the east of Tsim Sha Tsui Pier is the famous Avenue of Stars. The Avenue of Stars brings together Hong Kong film and television celebrities, more than a hundred signatures and handprints, and numerous sculptures by masters. It is a good choice to take a walk here, enjoy the beautiful sunset over Victoria Harbor and take photos.
Don’t miss the “Symphony of Lights” performed on time at 8 o’clock every night in Victoria Harbor. The beautiful night view of Victoria Harbor, accompanied by music and lights, has become a unique and beautiful scenery in Hong Kong. The entire show lasts about 15 minutes and is also the largest light and music show in the world that Gisney has earned.
The waiting time for the Symphony of Lights light show will be filled easily. Because here in Tsim Sha Tsui, there is the Hong Kong Clock Tower, the Hong Kong Museum of Art and the Hong Kong Space Museum. The former Hong Kong Marine Police Headquarters, Peninsula Hotel, Sogou Department Store and Harbor City, etc.
After watching "A Symphony of Lights", the day's trip should be over. It can be stressful if you only have one day to plan your shopping. Just buy something in Tsim Sha Tsui or Mong Kok and quickly go back to the hotel or Shenzhen or Zhuhai.
