Should you choose law as your undergraduate degree?
There is always a saying in the world: Studying law is good, but your scalp is a bit cold.
As a law student who once prepared for the judicial examination and the postgraduate entrance examination at the same time, I would like to talk about what it is like to study law.
In March of the year before last, I began to prepare for the judicial examination. During the more than six months of preparation, I truly experienced the pain of law students. Law is a very profound subject, with a trembling number of various departmental laws and various legal provisions.
To be honest, every department can torture you to death.
I remember one month before the exam, the door of the law school was surrounded by law students holding books to endorse. One by one, their faces were full of anxiety and sorrow, and there were only two words in their hearts: Sikao.
Because as a law student, passing the judicial examination is equivalent to having a pass, and you can go to the public security organs, law firms, and companies to do business. These all sound lofty, but in fact only we ourselves can understand the sadness behind them.
I remember that in the half month before the exam, my roommates went to bed at 2 o'clock every day and stayed up to read and answer questions. Generally, people in the study room don't leave until ten o'clock. Anyone who leaves before ten o'clock is regarded as an alien by everyone. There have been times when we were still studying when we couldn’t keep our eyes open, and we were even too tired to speak.
These are all painful aspects, and there are happy moments in between.
Of course, law taught me to work hard, developed a rigorous thinking, and gave me many opportunities.
Although the days of preparing for the exam were painful, I also learned what a legal person is.
In the past I would say, never choose law, but now I want to say, law will not make you regret it.
