"The beauty of the five mountains and rivers is the best in the world." There is an old saying that "seeing is believing". I have heard about Mount Hengshan, one of the five mountains in China, but I have never had a chance to see it. Mysterious and beautiful legends and unparalleled wonders have long made me eager to unveil its mysterious veil and get a sneak peek. On the occasion of the May Day holiday, I finally found the time and opportunity to travel, and the location was set in Hengshan Mountain, Wuyue, Guan Xiu.
Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue, the legendary fairy mountain. Breathing the fresh air, I am looking forward to it. When I set foot on the land under it, I am full of expectation and sacredness. What kind of mountain will it be, which is located in one of the five mountains in China? People are so admired and yearning. I tried to open my eyes wide, trying to find its beauty and seize every beautiful moment. I have to admit that I am a greedy child.
Hengshan Mountain is located in the north of Hengyang City, Hunan Province, on the bank of Xiangjiang River. Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty named it "Nanyue" after the imperial edict. Among the five mountains, there is a saying that "Mount Hengshan walks, Mount Daili stands, Mount Huashan stands, and the mountain lies, only Nanyue flies alone". The 72 peaks of Mount Hengshan are all inclined in one direction, with gentle south and steep north. Zhurongfeng, the main peak, soars into the sky like a bird's head, and the mountains stretch like wings and leap like flies. In addition, mountain peaks are often hidden in fog, giving people a feeling that clouds are moving and peaks are flying. Among the five mountains, Hengshan Mountain has the most lush vegetation and full of green on the mountain, so it has the reputation of "the only one in the five mountains". Hengshan Mountain is also called "Shouyue", and "Shoubi Nanshan" was born from this.
The first time I came to Hengshan, I came halfway up the mountain by agricultural vehicle, and I couldn't wait to go up the mountain after putting down my luggage. The first thing you see is the Martyrs Temple. I walked into the cemetery and looked up. This is a memorial tower with a special shape. Different from the design of a general memorial tower or monument, it consists of five shells pointing directly at the sky. These shells are one big and four small. The one in the middle is like a giant rocket before launch, and the four around it are like bundled propellers. The words "July 7th" are engraved on all sides of the tower. This martyr temple was built in 1938. At that time, the development of rockets may not have taken shape, but the shapes of these five shells are reminiscent of rockets that can fly directly into space. It is very appropriate to use shells as towers to commemorate the July 7th Incident and the soldiers killed in the Anti-Japanese War.
The design and layout of the Martyrs Cemetery basically refer to the Nanjing Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum. Although it is not as magnificent as the latter, it shows a heavy silence due to its special geographical location. When Hengshan accepted the remains of these soldiers who died for the country, it was doomed that this cemetery was different. I think, like the dead listed in all cemeteries or monuments, the names of soldiers listed in the martyrs' shrine are of course incomplete. Many of them will never leave their names, and will rest in peace in this country that once suffered. They fight for this land, and the soul can be equated with the name Hengshan. Yes, this is the mark left by the Kuomintang officers and men who were killed in the front line of anti-Japanese war. They represent a period of history. At the last moment of their lives, they moved closer to Hengshan, a magnificent land for which they had to shed their last drop of blood. They are the first climbers of Hengshan Mountain. Although they fell down, their love for this land will not stop beating. The soldiers buried here, their spirit is as eternal as this mountain.
Further up the mountain, you can easily find that one of the major features of this mountain is that there are many temples and Taoist temples, and it is worthy of being a religious shrine. The scene of the heyday of incense, a sacred idol, makes you feel very sacred, and even makes people feel that even people who don't believe in Buddhism can't have selfish distractions in such a sacred and solemn place. Put your hands together, make a heartfelt wish to your idol and pray for all your family and friends. For the human mind, it is a kind of purification, as if the soul has also been washed clean. I also met many Buddhist saints who came to worship along the way. Of course, just by listening to the names of ancestral temples in China, Magu Wonderland, Zhulin Taoist Temple, Du Xuan Taoist Temple, Ancestral Temple and Tiefo Temple, an illusion of being in a fairyland will emerge in your heart. And the warm sunshine, pouring down obliquely from the cracks in the trees, feels like a forgotten spirit in this mountain forest, which is unprecedented wonderful. Every life I meet is so fresh, lively and full of hope.
Climbing Hengshan Mountain means climbing Zhu Rong. The ancients said, "If you don't go to Zhu Rong, you won't know its height." Han Yu, a writer in the Tang Dynasty, said: "Zhu Rong rose from the ground and wanted to see it." These two poems not only describe the grandeur of Zhurongfeng, but also describe the beauty of Hengshan Mountain. Nanyue is a holy place of Buddhism. There are Buddhist temples in the mountains, hidden in the depths of valleys, surrounded by towering old trees, shaded by green belts, and birds in the spring flow and answer each other, showing infinite vitality and quiet escape. The next day, five hours later, we finally reached Zhurong Peak at the top of Hengshan Mountain and entered the Great Temple. The first thing you see is two lions, separated on both sides of the flat cement road, staring at the front with intense eyes. Then we walked up the steps. On the left side of the steps is the observation deck, and in the center is a big stone with the word "Hengshan" written on it. Further on, there are two incense burners made of cement, on the left and right sides of the steps at the entrance of the Great Temple. Walking into the temple, there are three tall Buddha statues in the middle, noble and neat. There are many other medium-sized Buddha statues on both sides, with soft cushions in front for tourists to kneel down and pray. I also went into the temple devoutly and made three obeisances to the holy emperor respectfully. This is not only a prayer for the blessing of the gods, but also a worship of such a magnificent Hengshan Mountain, and it is also a worship of the beautiful mountains and rivers of the motherland. This land is so beautiful that countless heroes bow to their knees. We are not heroes, we should bend over. Behind the three giant Buddha statues, there are several Buddha statues, which are said to be gifts to the Buddha. There is a door in the west of the back. The door was open. I went to the door and looked out, looking at Wan Li, but I couldn't see the edge. There are strange rocks under my feet. The wind billows and growls like a dragon, and my body is light, as if as soon as I release my hand holding the threshold, it will be blown away without a trace.
Zhurongfeng is the highest peak in Nanyue, with an altitude of 1, 289.8 meters. There is a Zhu Rong Temple on the top of the hill. From a distance, the whole hall is surrounded by curled cigarettes, and the ethereal is looming. The incense in the temple is very strong, and the oil lamp is always on; The holy emperor of Nanyue sat in the center of the main hall. According to legend, there was a minister named Zhu Rongshi who was in charge of fire control affairs under the Yellow Emperor in ancient times. Because he was familiar with the situation in the south, he was entrusted by the Yellow Emperor with the responsibility of "Situ" to take charge of southern affairs. During his administration, Hengshan Mountain, as his habitat, will be welcomed by the people wherever he goes. After his death, people buried him at the highest peak of Mount Hengshan and named him after him. His statue was enshrined in a temple. Built on a huge rock at the top, this temple was originally called Tianchi Temple. It gallops across the sky, facing the deep valley, and is faintly visible hundreds of miles away; Behind the temple is a daunting sacrificial rock, which is an excellent resort to see the sea of clouds, the sunrise and the Buddha's light. But now it has built a fence more than 4 feet high with granite. Maybe Grandpa Sheng Di doesn't want many kind people to sacrifice their lives from here. I am kind!
Out of the temple, there are cigarettes and firecrackers in the incense burners on the left and right sides, accompanied by bursts of bells, which can really make people forget. The dragon hates that this body is not mine, so forget the camp. If Su Dongpo had been able to come here, he wouldn't have sighed so helplessly. On the left side of the temple stands a unique stone with four big characters engraved on it: Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue, and a poem about Hengshan Mountain by Li Bai, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, engraved on the pedestal: Hengshan Mountain is pale into purple, overlooking the Antarctic Old Man Star. When the wind blows away the snow on the five peaks, flowers often fly into the cave. This poem makes all our languages redundant.
Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue is so beautiful, strange and wonderful. After a day and a half of playing, I deeply fell in love with this towering mountain, not only the picturesque scenery, but also the piety to the Buddha. It is difficult for me to fully describe my feelings in words. Her scenery is endless, you must come and enjoy it in person when you have the opportunity! Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue is a blessed land and a resort. Five Mountains in Guan Xiu climbed Mount Hengshan, so the beautiful and peculiar scenery of Mount Hengshan often appeared in my dreams after going down the mountain. ......
